We ordered this after seeing an interview on our local tv station. Dr. Kaddoumi of the Dept. of Biometrics at the School of Pharmacy here at ULM is studying the Neuroprotective effects of EVOO and oleocanthal in Alzheimer's disease. In the interview we saw the bottle of The Governor in the background. We decided to order it to try and have found that it does have the stronger peppery feel, which is an indicator of higher amounts of oleocanthal, in the throat than the others we have tried. Will be ordering this again.

I have actually been to the Governor Olive Groves and their processing plant in Corfu Greece, please believe me when I tell you there is non better. It is a family business brothers, sisters, grandmother, and grandfather, the tasting process involved bread specially made by grandma, the bread brought out the peppery taste, if one warmed the shot glass, full of olive oil, in ones hands the smell was one of fresh cut grass. Yes it may be expensive, the best things in life normally are, however, the expense is well worth it and justified in the case of the Governor Ultra Premium Unfiltered Olive oil,. I have two bottles on hand in my Kitchen at all times.

Governor's is simply the best olive oil in the world. It is also the healthiest...my brother-in-law is a genetic scientist who works to find cancer cures. When olive oil high in oleocanthals - and Governor's has very high oleocanthals - is poured into a petri dish with cancer cells and healthy cells, the cancer cells are killed instantly and the healthy cells remain normal. And Governors tastes the best! Its important to take it raw - on salad or with high quality bread or drizzled over hummus - every day. I also use it on my skin. I highly recommend it!

An exceptionally fine EVOO. This oil is unfiltered, therefore, if the bottle is shaken, the oil will be cloudy. That's a good thing. The oil finishes with a peppery taste that is not, at all, offensive. Used in a salad dressing mix, this oil makes the individual ingredients have a better taste because the oil does not overwhelm the spices. I am extremely satisfied with this EVOO. This may be the finest oil I have tasted and used.I do have a suggestion. It would be very handy to have this in a 3 liter container. I have only seen this offered in a 500 ml container.

I've been using Signature Extra Virgin Olive Oil purchased from the local super market for several years and have been satisfied but I wanted to see what the "best" tasted like so I ordered this from Amazon on January 8th and tried it today. I was hoping it would taste like the delicious olive oil I've enjoyed at high-end Greek restaurants but unfortunately this product tasted more like my oven smells when it needs cleaning, in other words like acrolein. Alas. But the bottle looks nice.

It is said to contain the largest amount of oleocanthal which is the ingredient which fights against disease. I'm so glad I ordered, I take 2 tablespoons a day - and it's easy to do.
