I bought this bag as an attempt to try and find a nice pack for portability, light weightedness and of course - my biggest criteria - functionality. Wow. First off, when I received this bag in the envelope it had a good weight to it. I knew this was going to be an interesting unboxing.Once I opened it, I was greated by a familiar look - plastic bag with a Polare logo on it. The bag is a nightmare to break through, but I just tore right into it. It comes in a vented cloth bag - always a good thing to keep to store the bag inside when you're not using it. Any leather bag owner should know this.I was initially blown away by how "finished" this bag looked. So, full disclosure, I'm a huge Polare fan and recently purchased the retro laptop crossbody bag that I am absolutely in love with. But I would say, that bag could use a bit more "finish work" in terms of loose leather fibers migrating to the suede interior lining and my shirt. Either way it's an awesome bag for the price.This bag is a huge step in the right direction from Polare. It comes with padding on the back, a nice padded strap cushion, and an incredibly soft and durable leather feel. Man this bag is great.In total, three pockets and a zipper pocket on the padded shoulder strap that might fit a smaller phone, but not my Pixel 3XL. So maybe I can fit my wallet in there or something small I want to keep by my hands. Not ideal for a passport as it's about 4" worth of an opening. Not sure why so small, but I'm confident I'll find something I can throw in there.The smaller pockets don't offer too much storage, but the large pocket has storage on the backside of the pocket and inside the main compartment as well. Three pen slots, three various sizes pockets and a zipper. The bag also has the ability to expand to fit a bottle with a bungee band hidden by a zipper slot. Not sure if I would ever trust it, but I will test it out to see if it's durable enough.I am a bit disappointed with how the pockets on the medium and large slot overlap just because if you have bulky items pockets overlap and tend to bulge - so I think this can be improved in future iterations. Regardless, the bag is really functional and provides a ton of storage inside. I've been practicing placing it over my opposite shoulder and swinging it out in front when I need to access it. I love the versatility of being able to wear it on either shoulder. Huge plus.

This review is for the medium sized sling pack not the large. I looked for days for just the right pack. I thought about buying a satchel but then the guys at work would call it a man purse and poke fun at it so I decided on a sling pack which is more or less half a backpack. This pack it geared toward everything relating to my iPad.The leather is very nice and genuine, it has a very rustic look to it which is exactly what I was looking for. It has YKK zippers which is just a brand of zipper that's been used for over 100 years. Supposedly they aren't supposed to snag which only time will tell.Let me say this, if you have anything larger than a 10.5" or greater tablet they will not fit in the large pocket inside the main compartment. I own a 10.5" iPad Air 3 with an Antbox Folio smart case which is sort of a thick leather type and the only way to have it in this pack is just to lay it down in the main compartment. If you own an iPad Pro they won't fit inside the medium sized pack, you need to buy the large pack instead. I use the big pocket for a medium sized college ruled paper notebook, a full sized notebook will not even fit inside the main compartment. I use the business/credit card pockets for a field notes notebook and a cleaning cloth for my tablet.The two inside main pockets on the main compartment flap, one I use for a mini USB LED laptop light and the zippered top inside pocket I use for little things like breath mints, little alcohol wipes for the iPad screen and little things like that. The outside front zippered pocket has a single pocket in it which I use to hold my battery bank and USB cables. The top zippered pocket I use to store the USB wall wart to plug my cables into to charge my iPad and iPhone.If you want to throw books in this, some medium sized thin books maybe two possibly three thin one are all you could lay in the main compartment and that's about it. This pack isn't very big at all so if you have an iPad Pro you need the large pack.With that being said, if you're looking for a brown rustic looking day sling pack to hold some small things then this may be what you're looking for. If your someone going to college and need a book pack this is not the bag you should be looking at.

Very comfortable over the shoulder or across the back and super easy to adjust on the fly.Absolutely a great pack if you like quality and versatility. I'll probably always have one as my main bag. Not often that I find what I want in a bag. I've found it.Had one small zipper issue and they quickly replaced my bag with great customer service. Good bag, good people.

Well crafted backpack, spacious and durable. The downside it is too big. The strap on it’s shortest setting is too long, and this is for a 5’ 9” guy. The backpack when brought to the front for a sling basically covers my entire stomach. That being said it’s replaced my messenger bag for everywhere I go. Wish the strap issue was addressable

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this sling bag. The quality is exceptional and the size is perfect. This is not a heavy sling bag even though made of real leather. Purchased for my son who needs to haul his phone, headset, battery pack, and other things that he normally stuffs into his pockets. Strap is adjustable for left or right hand. Design is masculine. Good for travel or go to gym. Some bags can appear to be more purse-like and that's something I definitely did not want for him. This is a product that will last for years and the leather will get even softer over time.Very happy with this purchase and will consider buying again and giving this as a gift in the future. Highly recommended.

This wonderfully crafted, small sling bag was a gift for my boyfriend. The rustic leather is divine, soft, sturdy (but not heavy,) and expertly tailored. The open layout of each compartment makes access unfussy, and contents easy to see. The gun-metal hardware is substantial -- feels solid and runs smooth-- and the backside of the bag is well-padded for added comfort. As well, the generous adjustable cross-strap has an anti-slip padded underside. Polare's attention to detail is the real deal. Plus, the sneak pocket on the strap and the hideaway bottle holder are slick added features. This bag is exceptional quality, functionality and workmanship in a hip, understated style.
