LifeProof FRE Series Waterproof Case for Galaxy S10+ - Retail Packaging - Asphalt (Black/Dark Grey)

I have been a fan of Lifeproof cases for years, being excessively obsessed with protecting my phone, but can no longer justify paying such a high price for such a inferior case! The rainbow effect on the case was horrible! I cleaned it, gently, used can air to blow the dust out, but I could not stop the Newton rings (I think that's the technical term). I have had several of these cases before, and all have experienced this issue to some degree, but this is the worse. I don't think I should have to put baby powder (as some have suggested) on a $90 case! Not to mention, the plastic they use has never been the clearest, bright white areas on your screen have a distracting color-dot kind of effect. My last Lifeproof, for my S7, had all of this, but not as bad, and at the time I was willing to put up with it due to my work related circumstances at the time. The S10+ is too expensive of a phone, with too beautiful of a screen to hide it like this unless you absolutely need the extra waterproofing. Also, as some have written, in Lifeproof's attempt to re-engineer the latch, they have made it feel very weak and it pops open too easily now. And while I am at it, it was VERY hard to use the heatbeat/oxygen sensor on the back, the foam they have around the camera opening is thick and requires you to press very hard to get a reading, failing more times than not. All in all, I can not recommend these cases anymore, at least not at this price point. If you really need waterproofing, I'd just get one of the cheaper $20 cases you can find here. But if you are listening Lifeproof, I would still by your cases, if you could please just bring them up to date! (and in case you think I forgot, don't even think about using it for the fingerprint sensor! I didn't mention it because they no longer advertise that as a feature)

I had the S8 with a lifeproof fre case and it was awesome! I have to admit this is not the same thing. At first I thought my case was wrong because they have a small pill shape simi clear plastic film at the top of the screen it seams like it should be over the camera but they say it's to make the ambient light sensor work correctly... idk about that... now on to the fingerprint scanner I watched a couple videos and read the instructions figured I had a good handle on what to do because it looks pretty easy, and yes I took off the orginal screen protector that comes on the phone. I was able to get the sensor pad to stick on my second try and it would read my print when the phone wasn't in its case but when I put it in the case it wouldn't read it. At first I didn't think that the fingerprint was a big deal then I realized I used it for almost all of my security when paying for or checking bank accounts. I've had the case for 2 days and I think I will return it I just am not pleased with it.One good thing is that it does wirelessly charge but it wont do the wireless charging when I try to charge my galaxy watch...If it was just the wireless charging issue then I wouldn't be so upset but the fingerprint sensor issue is a deal breaker for me.

The oval to go over the cameras is completely wrong.

Got the S10 plus model for a deployment so I had full body protection for all the steel stairs and metal decks on ship and have always loved lifeproof but with the new technology in fingerprints, this case is useless to me and in my opinion garbage. Half tempted to put my screen protector and half case back on. I have put the max finger prints in that i can and the phone refuses to recognize any of them! Out of the 6 different screen protectors none have given me this issue and its unacceptable for a 100 case! The s10+ is already waterproof so any decent half case and screen protector will do the job!

The fingerprint reader doesn't work and there is a random piece of plastic stuck to the inside of the screen protector that looks like the shape of the camera cutout but is vertical instead of horizontal and is closer to the middle than the camera.Bought early as a gift because it looked like a good price and now I can't return it. Last time I buy something like this online.

I only use lifeproof cases in the oilfield. Ive broken 5+ phones with otter boxes over the years. Ever since I started using lifeproof cases about 4 years ago, I have not broke a single phone or cracked a screen. Just make sure you register the case with lifeproof, the plastic screen cover will need to be replaced eventually. Luckily, they have a lifetime warranty.

I kayak a lot and wanted a waterproof case I could use while kayaking because I like to take a lot of photos and videos.This is a great easy to use, waterproof case that allows easy use of the S10 and protects my phone.If you need a case to protect the S10 and keep it dry and still use it, this si the one!!

I bought this case after it being the only waterproof case on the market for the galaxy s10+. I was hesitant after buying the s8 case and having it be a terrible case. This one is a much improved case and it works well. I did not install the fingerprint so I can't comment on that or the installation of the sensor strip thing. Overall the case does well in rain, but I haven't had a chance to test the case under water.

Étui qui a des défaut de fabrication un morceau de plastique dans le haut de mon écran qui n'as pas raison d'être de plus il y a 3 collant dans la boite qui serve pour l'emprunte digitale ça l'a fonctionné intermittent 1 journée après plus moyens d'accéder a mon téléphone sauf par nip.Je ne recommande pas cette étui Lifeproof ont du développement a faire.

This is the 2nd one of these cases I've purchased. The first one broke due to my error. I ordered the 2nd case through Amazon. It was substantially cheaper than ordering from Lifeproof or cellphone store. The case is great but I expected the fingerprint scanner to work like my old one. When the case arrived it said right on the factory packaging that there is no scanning ability. I didn't see it in the product description and was a bit disappointed. The facial recognition makes up for it but the scanner would have been nice to have.

I searched high and low for a case for my new Samsung Galaxy S10+ and came upon this Lifeproof case. Upon unboxing my first impressions were as noted, underwhelming! The product build quality just didn't feel like a premium product which, based on the price has slotted itself in. So, on value alone it loses a star. The instructions were pretty well written and straight forward. With this product there is a request that you "water test" this case before you use it! I question WHY I need to water test this case before I use it?? Is that not part of QA and seems like a gimmick to prove something to me that I should already have the confidence in purchasing this product! The front cover is very flimsy unlike my previous OtterBox (unfortunately, no models with front screen protectors for S10+). I can see it retaining a high degree of scratches in the future because of the soft poly material. I am thinking it is made of this material because of the fingerprint scanner, which I do not use. The seal of the front and back sections are very good and you can see and feel how the sections fit well together. Another issue I can see moving forward is the wear of the "opening slots" where a coin is needed. Due to the hard material it will retain wear marks for certain which, for a premium price point should not happen! The biggest issue I do have is there is an air gap between the phone screen and the front face protector as some have eluded to other reviews. This leaves what appear as water spots but it is the contact of the phone with the material used for the front cover. This is where a harder material would have resolved this issue. I solve this by opening the USB C cover and gently blowing into the case (yup, sad?!). Also, because of this air gap there is now an indirect contact or "cushy" feel when you touch the screen protector because it is made of this flex material. Basically, it feels "cheap' to the touch! The one good thing about this case is that I am confident it will stay sealed and protect my phone (really, it's a second layer of protection since the phone is already water resistant!). I'm going to give it one more week to see if I am going to keep this case or not as I see other options on Amazon that are half the price for the same quality.

Yup, its lifeproof. Hell, its even mattproof. Held up to falling onto cement from 4ft atleast 100 times. Left out near welders, grinders and torches numerous times. Even had it rested on the front edge of my toolbox and slammed the lid on it a few times. dropped into puddles countless times. Took over a year of abuse to get a small crack in the case, so ive bought another... first phone in 10 years to last more than one year!(yes im destructive) this us the case you want guaranteed.

If I could rate this a 0 out of 5 stars I would. This case is a counterfeit or lifeproof has brought their standards down to sub par levels. The front facing camera protector doesn't line up at all. The quality of the plastic is very poor compared to other lifeproof cases I have purchased. The screen protector makes it look like there is water between the screen and plastic screen protector but there isn't, I have removed the case plenty of times to look and make sure. Please do not waste your money.
