Solid Brass Hose Bibb That Feels Built to Last This American Valve M71QT 3/4" hose bibb quickly stood out as one of those “install it and forget it” kinds of products. The first thing I noticed pulling it out of the box was the weight—hefty and solid brass construction that feels like it’ll hold up for years without worry of cracks or leaks. The quarter-turn handle makes opening and closing smooth, quick, and much easier than the older multi-turn styles. I particularly appreciate the snug feel of the valve—firm, but not stiff—and the handle has a nice rubberized grip that’s easy to turn even with wet hands. Installation was straightforward. The threading was clean and precise, which made it a smooth fit with my existing plumbing. No leaks on the first test run, and the water flow was strong and consistent. The quarter-turn shutoff is tight, which should be good for preventing drips over time. A couple of small notes: since it’s all brass, it does get warm in direct sun, so something to keep in mind if you’re mounting it in a sunny spot. Also, the handle has a slightly smaller profile than some garden spigots, but that hasn’t been a problem in day-to-day use. Bottom line: A heavy-duty, well-made hose bibb that installs easily and operates smoothly. If you’re looking for something reliable and long-lasting for your outdoor water needs, this one checks all the boxes.

I have 1/2 and 3/4 of these. Both M and F thread. And IMO, they are the gold standard. I used to pass over them since there were cheaper "1/4 turn" valves out there. But even some that claim "full port" don't have ports as big as these. These are truly full port, the ball is polished stainless and works even after months and years of staying in the same position. The threads are perfectly cut. the handle is better quality than the cheap ones. The shape is better. Professional plumbers carry this quality of valve. I can't find a single thing to complain about, so 5 stars. The last valve you have to mess with.

This valve was incredibly easy to install. I removed the leaky old one and replaced it with this one in under 30 minutes. So far the build quality seems to be premium as there are no water leaks. I'm hoping to see a big savings in my monthly bill due to this being leak proof.

So glad I was able to find this on Amazon, Lowe's stopped carrying them where I'm at. This bibb is the best, and easy to turn on and off with the large lever.

Use this quarter-turn 3/4 inch valve to replace a hose spigot from a rainwater collection barrel. This barrel was feeding a transfer pump and using a regular spigot was uncomfortable. Just too many turns to fully open the spigot. This is now just a quarter-turn and easy opening. No drips, no leaks. It worked wonders to make garden watering just that much easier.

I installed this valve Several weeks ago on two outdoor hose spigots. The ball valve opens to the allow the full 3/4” flow unlike other spigots that restrict flow. The 5/8” hose flow is dramatically improved. The 1/4 turn on off lever operates easily, seems sufficiently sturdy, and is an added convenience. I checked locally at some of the “big box” stores and local hardware stores and although these valves are not cheap, they are less expensive, by a few dollars each than local in-stock items. Thus far they meet my needs and appear to be well made!

Needed a high-flow spigot for a small, gravity fed system (19L bucket) to a pressure washer. Did not disappoint. At 3' elevation i got 3-4GPM out of a 6' garden hose. Completely unrestricted, full bore ball-valve. This is the most throughput you'll get to a garden hose for sure. Solid construction too. Hefty unit. I screwed this into a plastic bulkhead fitting. Use teflon tape

Installed these for the washing machine in the basement. The old taps were very, very old, twist type. The quarter turn on these is a huge upgrade. At a glance, I can see if the valves are off, or on. The simplicity of the quarter turn is great for seniors, as it is really simple to move and use with ease. No drips, work fine, as advertised. I recommend this product for the application I used them for.

Got one of these for the veggie garden. I added a piece of bright pipe to the handle so I could see it was turned off when I was down at the house ( I sometimes forget ! ). Valve works very well and has good flow Bought another for the house hose, much better than the "tap" that was on there. Recommended

I installed this for my garden and it works well. As many folks have pointed out, a standard tap is restricted inside, down to something like 1/4" because of the way the shutoff works. If you want to get the full benefit of a larger tap you need something like this design. This tap installed easily, doesn't leak. Does what a tap should do for a reasonable price.
