EXCELLENT BUILD AND ROCK SOLID CONSTRUCTION. I love their quality products.
Excellent, rock solid construction. You can tell just by holding it in your hands. If you shoot large panoramics or 360 VR, you'll need this for precision and accurate degrees of panning. Just screw in the 'wired' peg into the slot of your desired panning degrees and turn the camera to the next stop (you should hear a click at each stop at the base). Make sure the bottom plate where the degrees are marked is unlocked when you rotate the base. Ideally, you should shoot with a nifty fifty (50mm) lens for panos as it has the least amount of curvature/barrel distortion in the lens. Using a wide angle lens will distort your panos as there's a lot of barrel distortion on the lens. I bought a used "demo" version from OEC and they shipped super fast. I got the item 3 days earlier than the estimated delivery time! I also have a Sunwayfoto "L" bracket! This is not cheap knock-off stuff you see all over Amazon BUT excellent, quality products from SUNWAYFOTO.

New perspective.
As many others I originally thought the indexing was weak and not very tactile. But after I cleaned it with spray electronics cleaner and then lubed it with a couple drops of 3in1 oil it works perfect. Solid snaps with indexing now. You would think they would clean it at the factory, but cleaning did the trick. Now works fantastic. I gave it four star for now cleaned at factory, otherwise it would be five.

Solid product, weak detents for indexing
Overall seems well made. However, the detents for indexing are weak. By that I mean minimal tactile feel telling you when you hit that angle you set. I have the Nodal Ninja RD16 as my primary rotor. Rock solid with very positive feedback on the detents. When shooting a job there is no doubt about when you hit the angle. With the Sunway DDP-64M, the detents are small and shallow, so it's easy to spin past the detent because the tactile feedback is weak. And yes, I have the screw for selecting the angle screwed in all the way. I can feel the detent, it's just not enough when you are working. I've been shooting 360s for over 7 years so lots of experience with how things should work. It should be like the Nodal Ninja where it's a very positive stop when you hit the detent. It's really too bad as the rotator is solid. But the weak detents make it unusable for a professional shooting jobs.

Terribly weak indexing
If you need reliably accurate "feel-able" indexing. Don't buy this. The screw loosens constantly.

Works perfect, but I had to buy an adapter to fit it on my tripod. Just know your tripod measurements before buying.

Effortless panoramics.
Now my panoramics are under control. It is precise and easy to use, a little heavy though.

There are better panoramic heads in my opinion
I needed a second pano head and wanted to save some money over the Manfrotto 300N I already have. Unfortunately that was a bad choice, at least for me. The Sunway's degree adjustment mechanism is similar to the Manfrotto, but when I tightened the adjustment pin (tightening all the way down as I think is intended since there is a built in stop on the pin and that is how the Manfrotto works), I actually ended up scratching the finish on the drum and in doing so, my 20deg stop became so rough it is effectively unusable. The paint shavings that are now flaking off the drum are also clogging the little roller ball in the pin, so that is annoying. Fine, I just went to 24deg, but I now have to be very careful not to tighten the adjustment pin too much otherwise I'll just scratch the drum again; when I don't tighten pin the detent is so soft that it doesn't always set when you go from stop to stop and it is easy to over miss a stop and turn too far (I do night photography, so it is easier to miss a stop than you might think due to the dark). My Manfrotto has a nice solid 'click' and stops right where it is supposed to. Maybe my copy of the Sunway is just defective, since other reviews seem to be positive, but I will probably end up getting a second Manfrotto.

Very useful item
I use it to have fixed angle panning as what it’s meant to do. Do not expect audible clicks from it though.. some fiddling with the angle adjustment screw is required. Too tight and you get a draggy, grinding feel.. too loose and you get no feel.. when tightened correctly , the detects work fine.. you will feel each position that it’s to stop at..
