Easy to set up, solid for use

This was installed by my Occupational Therapist last week and it works really well. In the past I have had to call 911 to lift me off the couch. I like the "no legs" aspect of it and doesn't stick out for tripping. Highly recommend this product for people with moblility problems, as I do.

This is my 3rd seat assist. I am using 1 on my patio loveseat in addition to the sofa & loveseat inside. Silly me lost a screw while I was assembling the 3rd item outside. Who knows where that screw flew too? I called customer service & for a nominal fee I received a full set of extra hardware. And I received it in 1 day!!! Excellent item. Great price. Fabulous customer service. Win. Win. Win.

I've been trying to get a TABLE on my new kayak that I use for wildlife photography. A place to set my camera and LEAN ON for stability on those long lens hand held shots. I thought on this product for about a month and went from aluminum rod, to PVC and everything in between. I then stumbled into this idea.It was between this and another one that was 10 more (and looks FAR BETTER for the reason they are bing sold). This one is rather flimsy and seemed like it's made in someone's basement. Really OVER PRICED.HOWEVER for my needs it was worth every penny. I mounted it under and around my kayak seat and the handles become a way to mount my clip on table top. It works PERFECTLY for my weird situation! I used nylon ties to lock it to my kayak seat frame. Works GREAT.5 stars for MY NEED... 3-4 stars for the reason it's being sold. I'd spend 10.00 more for the better one for being an aid to help you stand up.

worthless - do not buy. The foam is WAY too soft to be effective. Buyers would be better off buying a legit firm rated foam insert for your cushion, which is what I will be doing. The product comes in a packaged that is highly compressed vacuum package, which was our first hint that the foam was not firm. If this product was priced at $5, I would not buy it. If you are going to replace your foam with a different cushion or use a product like this, check the ILD and Density ratings. INDENTATION LOAD DEFLECTION (ILD) rating. This is a measure of how much pressure it takes to compress the foam 25% of its thickness. Density should be 2.8 to 3.0. ILD should be 41 or above.

Easy to assemble and install. It provides help and support from sitting to standing.

Loved it until one handlebar broke.My husband was pretty good at breaking things. To clarify, he'd sometimes put a lot of pressure on things that I wouldn't have put so much pressure on. Sometimes it was hard to know if they broke because he was just a big guy and his first reaction if something seemed stuck was to push harder, vs. just backing off and trying to figure out what is causing the problem -- which would be my first reaction to a stuck thing. So we had a a broken dishwasher handle, a broken chair handle, broken recliner leg rests, and then this thing. Maybe some of those items weren't made very well, but I never had so many things break when I was single. So, I think the breakage could have been partly his fault.BUT ... this thing is designed to help people with mobility issues.It really shouldn't have broken, even with Mr. Clumsy using it.That's why I'm only giving it 3 stars.We had gotten good use out of it for maybe 4 months, though, before it broke. So I didn't try to contact the manufacturer or anything. And during those 4 months or so, Mr. Clumsy loved it! It did make it much easier for him to get up from the couch.

Worth every penny! I am now able to get up from the left side of my sofa. My right leg is stronger so I could always get up from the right side using my right arm. But I could not manage getting up using my left arm. Now I have the bars on both sides to push up off the sofa. Works great. Needed to review instructional video twice, but I assembled it with a little patience.
