Great pants!
Great pants. Light weight, proper fit, comfortable. Pants were true to size. Material has plenty of flex. Exactly what I wanted. Will be buying more.

Great Pants
I use these for traveling. The pants are lightweight and have plenty of pockets, some nicely zipped to foil pickpockets. The pockets on the front of the thighs are a perfect size for passports or a thin wallet, The side pockets work well for my phone. These pants are easy to wash in a hotel room and usually dry overnight. Loose, cool and comfy without being baggy, they come with their own plastic buckled belt which is great for going through airport security.

Problems threading belt. Otherwise, an excellent product.
First, the shortcomings. The belt fits through covered fabric slots on the waist. The interior ends of such belt pockets are not stitched into place. As a result, when you try to thread the belt through the slots it gets stuck. It's an oversight which the company should correct. That being said, the pants are excellent. True sizing. Quick drying. Great pocket zippers. Very comfortable.

Absolutely Perfect Tactical/Outdoor Pants – Comfort, Fit, and Great Pockets!
I am so impressed with these pants—they immediately earned a five-star rating! I've been actively trying to get back into shape, and finding clothes that truly fit and move with you is essential. These deliver completely. Comfort, Fit, and Stretch: I ordered my usual size, and the fit is spot-on. They are incredibly comfortable right out of the package. The stretch is fantastic, providing full mobility without ever feeling restrictive, whether I'm active outdoors or just wearing them around. They don't bind, and the quality of the fabric is great for all-day wear. The Pockets are a Game Changer: I have to call out the pockets—they are deep and generously sized, easily holding my phone and wallet without feeling bulky or risking them falling out. A Quick Tip on the Zippers: For anyone else ordering, just a heads-up: the zippers for the main cargo pockets are cleverly tucked under a small flap/lip of fabric. I almost thought my pockets were stitched closed for a minute! Once you know to look for it, it’s a non-issue, and it actually helps keep the pockets streamlined. I took a photo to show where they are. I really like the color (I got what was ordered). The pants are extremely lightweight and the material doesn't feel thick but not too thin either. It's about 50 degrees outside right now and these are perfect. If you're looking for durable, comfortable, and functional pants, these are highly recommended. A total win!

Great pants and a great value!
These pants are even better than expected! I've been wearing them weekly now, under all sorts of weather conditions, for the past couple of months. I was looking for a lightweight, stretchable, waterproof and breathable pair of pants. Those are the qualities that were advertised, and at the price offered they'd be a bargain if they delivered, and they have big time! The sizing was spot on, and for the price, they can't be beat. I'm especially impressed with the little details that went into the design, such as the internally mesh lined cargo and front pockets, as well as the heavy duty fabric loop which connects the button to the pants. The same goes for the heavy duty and extra wide belt loops, and their placement. I wear my keys on a carabiner attached to the front beltloop. With these pants, the belt loops are further off center than belt loops found on most pairs of pants. It's a much smarter location, so your keys don't go smackin you in the nads inadvertently. Another major bonus is the location of the cargo pockets, which are located more towards the front of the thighs, than on the side of the legs as with most cargo pants. This location seems to make the contents of the pockets stand out less, and therefor less bulky and apt to bump into stuff as they would if the they were located on the sides. The zipper closures on the cargo pockets are also superior to the standard velcro closures you find on most cargo pants. And the pockets are roomy enough to fit my cell phone, smokes, or my wallet, no problem. The pants are very water resistant, and airy. They're a great deal, and i would not hesitate to buy another pair when and if this pair wears out. My five star rating applies to company just as much to the pants themselves. I had issues with another product I purchased from Free Soldier, and the company was very easy to deal with to make things right! These pants are the third product I've purchased from Free Soldier(these pants, boots, and a pair of fleece lined snow pants), and I am more than happy with the products and the company itself, a well-deserved 5 stars all around.

Free Soldier...nice hiking pants. But the cargo pockets and belt loops needs redesigned!!!
As you will see in the video review I have included, there are definite pros and cons. First the pros: Pros: ➡️Thicker material than the CQR Runyon pants. This means they do not wrinkle as badly as the CQR Runyon pants. ➡️The feel of the pants is very nice (due to the thicker material). ➡️Comes with a skinny/thin cheap tactical belt. ➡️Love, Love, Love the design of the cargo pockets (not the placement, but I talk about that in the Cons). These cargo pockets not only have a zipper, but they also have a flap that covers the zippers. ➡️Very stretchy in all the right places. ➡️YKK main zipper. The cargo pockets do not have a YKK zipper. ➡️Elastic waistband. These pants have a better fit than the CQR Runyon pants and provide ample room through the thighs. Cons: 🙄The cargo pocket is on top of the thigh, making it very difficult to get into these pockets unless you stand up. Most tactical pants have the cargo pocket 1/2 on the front & 1/2 on the back of the leg. The pockets are usually evenly distributed between the front and the back of the leg, making them way easier to put items in and out of the cargo pocket. 🙄The belt loop system. As you will see in the review video, I have no idea why they designed the belt loop system as they did. First, you have a 3" loop on the front, a 1" loop on the side, and then the catastrophe loops in the back. On the back of the pants, they have two 8" loops that you have to try to feed a belt through. There's one thing for certain, you will have to feed a belt through the loops with the pants off. There's almost no way to feed the belt through the loops with the pants on. 🙄Lack of venting. The thing I did like about the CQR Runyon and Rocky tactical pants is that they have vents allowing you to breathe while wearing them. However, the Free Soldier version has no vents. 🙄Back pockets have no flap or cover, so be careful with what you put in them because things can easily fall out when you bend over. Lastly, one thing I have to cover is that these are NOT tactical ripstop pants. If you are looking for something along those lines then I would recommend the 5.11 TDU or 5.11 Taclite pants. I would be afraid to where these in the brush or where they might come up against even a tree branch. MAKE sure to take a look at all the reviews and especially the pictures and the videos.

Tougher than Jeans, Light as Air
If you live in an area with any kind of heat and have never tried nylon pants you need these immediately. They offer excellent protection from abrasions, scratches, and punctures. They weigh almost nothing and are quite cool in the heat, I know I'll never wear jeans again when it's over 65F. And they last, I bought my first pair years ago and they're still holding up after countless hours of work and outdoor activities. They look clean and professional when fitted properly. The only potential downside is the "swish" sound they make walking from the legs contacting each other. The amount of swish will depend on how baggy you get, but it's a tiny price to pay for all the advantages of nylon. Get them from this company, I have something like 8 pairs now and they've all been assembled quite well, zero issues with loose threads or bad zippers or anything like that.

Surprising comfortable
I live in a humid and warm area. The pants was comfortable in my outdoor hike, perspiration drying is good. Will get another colour of the pants. It fits alright.

Doesn't like the rain.
Ended up adding a softshell water repellant via handwashing which worked to make these reasonably rain resistant (okay so I just walk the dog but in all weather). To get the length I need had to go big on waist sizing. Honestly can't imagine any sort of military application here (thankfully).
