Not tuff duty for heavy chewers
I have a pitbull bully mix and she went through a 2 pack in just a couple days, balls split open. I got these hoping they'd last even for heavy chewers since they're called 'tuff'. Do not recommend for heavy chewers.Other than that, good product that will probably last for medium and smaller size pups without super strong jaws

Not durable.
My pitt bull tore through these in no time :(

These lasted 20min before splitting in half
I have a 70lbs lab/pointer mix, and she had it torn to pieces within an hour. She's a dog and happily brings back ball particles to me to throw, the size of skittles. In my anecdotal but empirical experience, this ball is not-so-tuff.

There not that tuff
It took my malamutes about 10 minutes to dismantle this ball. Wish they could make a really durable product for stronger dogs. This may work for less of a chewers but not my dogs.

One was pretty hard the other was not.
They don't seem much different than a regular tennis ball. One was much harder than the other one. I feel like they will fall apart pretty much as easily as a tennis ball if too much pressure is applied.

We love these balls
It is a shame to see all of the negative reviews, when I have given these to my dogs for many years. My dogs are JR terriers. Only one of them really plays with the balls. And she REALLY plays. She will bring the ball back 200 times in a row, catch it in mid air, etc. Our other dog likes to tease her with the ball, but doesn't care to chase it. I can understand these balls not holding up if you have a large dog. My dogs are around 18 pounds. They have really sharp teeth and love to chew/knaw on bones and such. But these balls truly hold up for a long time. We usually have a few laying around the house. They are hard....not easily chewed up. But after several months of play, I notice suddenly that Lily is doing more chewing than retrieving....and soon, her teeth go through. Once that happens, I toss the ball and if I have no new ones to bring out, I buy a couple more. These are the only balls we use, after trying many different kinds, all way too easily chewed up. I couldn't be happier to find them on Amazon (actually, I just opened my new box and was delighted that the balls actually were the same as we are used to using...sometimes we can't find them at Petco or Petsmart).

They aren't miracle balls, but they last longer than tennis balls
My 100 pound Italian Spinone chews tennis balls the way 13 year old girls chew gum. Oh, he'll chase them halfheartedly, but once he gets to them he does some SERIOUS munching on them. The problem is, he really won't play with ANY balls except tennis balls (and I've tried a LOT of ball substitutions, believe me). I've literally seen him destroy a tennis ball in 10 minutes. He likes these as well as "normal" tennis balls, but they will usually last us through several play sessions before he cracks them. And, even once they are cracked, the felt will sometimes take a couple of more days before it is destroyed, meaning that I can sometimes get a week out of one of these balls. Not great, but much better than the regular tennis balls. If you are looking for a ball that cannot be destroyed, look further because this is NOT it. But, for our house it's a pretty good compromise.

One Day
My dogs loved them, but they lived them so much they were destroyed in one day.

Not tough at all.
Do not buy. They are a load of rubbish. Have a small dog, they broke straight away.
