I buy all types of seed from The Seed Plant company. Not only are they fellow Texans, but they have a large variety of seeds, some even a little exotic, and I have found that the germination rates on their seeds are quite high. I think the first time I ever ordered from them and got some type of spinach seed and, I swear, there was sprouted spinach coming up 24 hrs later. Look at their website, very responsible "gardeners." PLUS, they have really kept their prices down, much appreciated.

Really good seeds! I only planted a few because they were in a 14" container. They struggled at first, only two made it (the weather was bad). But once they got going with some good fertilizer, I couldn't stop them. I had them staked up, watered and fed well. Both plants thrived in the container, they produced slightly smaller fruit, yet they were a good size, plump, sweet, and juicy. I got about 14 lbs. of tomatoes. I harvested the last couple pounds of green ones before the cold snap set in, as I didn't want to lose them. They sit in a paper bag awaiting ripening!

The okras are delicious. I missed to notice the $10.50 delivery charge . Next time I will be careful.

January 2016. The scorpion Trinidad chili peppers I ordered grew to be bell peppers! I ordered giant Strawberry's and they turned out to be small. I got my growing method from a professional who checked my crop and he confirmed the same. The seeds were not of the variety I purchased. The company gave me the wrong seeds. About two weeks. I still have yet to see a sprout or any sign of life for this. I will rate higher as I get results. After two weeks there is a sprout! In fact the leaves are now evolving. It took a long wait but it is growing. I do wish all sprouted. Out of three one grew. I had to go one several sites and took the average information that was common, in other words, and use that to grow my seeds. I kept the seeds in well draining soil (used coconut fibers as well). The whole thing is under some shade but it gets about 40 to 50% direct sunlight but the morning sun, not afternoon. Oahu is on the warmer side with temperatures that change between 75 to 82 degrees. The soil is moist but not drenched. So, it came in a silver anti-static pouch with several seeds. I had the mistake of handling one with slightly damp hands and sucker burned when I put my fingers under warm water for about a week. Better to use gloves (chemical rated) to handle seeds. I am hoping more will grow in the future.

I got these seeds in just as I was about to go out of town for the weekend. I threw 6 Texas Grano onion seeds per cell in a 4 cell tray. I just got home 5 days later and several of them have germinated already. I wasn’t expecting that considering the seeds were so cheap. I’m really glad I found good seeds for a good price. UPDATE: A few more days and we have a near 100% germination rate. I made a mistake and didn’t compress the seed starting mix before placing the seeds so when I poured water over them it stirred up all the seeds and coco coir. So some of the seeds may have fallen down deeper into the mix. If I hadn’t done that I’m pretty positive every single one would have germinated evenly.

Started seeds a week ago and they have slow & low germination compared to others I started at the same time.

The seeds were dead. I ordered these along with a package of Ghost pepper seeds and even though I followed the instructions to a “T” nothing grew.

Well packaged from China but stated to contain accessories, not seeds. Inside two envelopes were what looked like tomato seeds. Sowed in March 2023 at the same time and in the same conditions as 11 other tomato varieties all of which germinated. Only one Jet Star seed germinated which was tiny compared to a tomato seedling.
