They love to play catch or hit at balls with this goofy over sized plastic bat we have had forever. These CHAMPION SPORTS SOFTBALL set is perfect for these little kids. They come in six bright colors -- yellow, orange, red, green, blue, and purple. They are heavy and sturdy, while at the same time, they are light weight enough for the little ones to throw and [sometimes!] catch. They have invented a game where some of the colors are bad and some of the colors are good. If you get hit with the BAD color, BAM - you lose. They also like to get on a swing -- one swings and the other throws the balls gently at them and tries to hit them. We also just play catch with them. Fun kid stuff. We also have a two year old dog who loves balls. One of the balls got in the paws of our Diego. His vampire-like teeth chain-sawed their way right through that ball. He didn't ruin it; the kids can still play with it but not while Diego is out. I was hoping these would work as a 'dog ball' for him but not for Diego. However, that being said, I did see some reviewers who purchased these balls specifically for their pets and had no problems with them chewing/ruining them.
