Pro-Lok KD01 4 in 1 Key decoder

Made my first attempt to rekey very easy.

Amazon review 11/10/2019 for the Pro-Lok KW1,SC1,WK1 & WE1 Key Decoder.So far, so good with this product. It is indeed non-magnetic, apparently stainless steel, and the metal is rather heavy weight. Black numbers are easily readable. Although the Amazon listing states made in USA, there's no country of origin markings on the product received.

Product was packaged in a plastic bubble wrap envelope which had a hole in it and you could tell it had been trapped between other heavy packages. The key gauge was all bent up. I was able to straighten most of it. If Amazon had packaged this product in small box the damage would not have occurred. Not happy about the packaging, but the key gauge seems to be a great product. Not sure of it's accuracy yet. It was too pricey for a piece of stamped out sheet metal!

I feel like a real locksmith with this gauge. I have learned how to read keys and make locks with a custom and a master with a proper pinset assortment.

Don't quite know what I'm going to do with it, but it works.

Expensive for a stamped piece of sheet metal, but just about your only option. Worth it if you need it. Should last forever.
