This is the only one of the 3 that does that. Customer service is useless. She said it has to be a loose wire. A loose wire that works for months (We are in a drought) and only stops working when it rains and miraculously begins working again when you take a battery out and put it back in again. At her request I took the lock apart and every thing was fine. I put it back together and of course it works fine because it is not raining and I took the batteries out and put them back in to reboot the lock. This "technical support person" would not listen to anything I said. What a mess. My wife comes up the ramp to the door with her walker and cannot get in. I am super disappointed. I have 5 people in my house with 3 going in and out each day for work, soon all 5 of us will be going in and out the door. I can update later when they do finally need replacing. **Q: Will this lock work with a Vivint system** A: Vivint does use the same Z wave technology as the Yale lock. My information indicates that it could be difficult for you to set up as Vivint recommends the Kwikset locks. **Q: Do you have to use the lever or can you use an existing doorknob?** A: You would use the lever. Imagine that it would replace the top deadbolt lock.
