The Boyer Corporation Red Crown Lye 2 Lbs (Pack of 2)

We used for making soft soaps for the body. Worked exactly as we intended. The soaps have to cure for several months before the lye is safe on the skin so make sure and do your research but after setting the allotted time it’s great for soap.

They came nice and securely packaged The containers make pouring the lye out a breeze. I was previously using lye from a bag and I much prefer these. These also came out to be the best deal I could find at the time on Amazon ($0.44/oz.). Will keep on my list of available products for soap making!

This is far better than Draino crystals to get our drains clearing the water whenever they slow down and unlike Draino, this stuff works immediately and instantly so you can use the sinks right away. Just take precautions so you don't get hurt using it, and keep it where kids can't get to it.

Bought as part of a gift for a soap making kit and it was well received. A little bit makes a lot of soap so this was a great value! Update: Still 5 stars! Made soap regularly for 6 months with these before finally having to order more! Fantastic lather and has made great soaps.

We run a small homestead making goat's milk soap and I have found this lye to work well and make a nice bar. I ve used it with lard as well as plant based fats and both work equally well. It cures true and solid. Would recommend

They are a bit pricy compared to buying from soaping supplies, of course, but when Im running it out, these are great alternatives

This is the best lye for soap making. I bought another kind once when I was out of red crown, and my soaps preformed horribly! Switched back to red crown and haven't had a problem since! ❤

I reached out to company to with request for information on a specific use. They did not respond. I would have liked to know formulation. I winged it. Was able to pour remains on edge of garden with no damage.
