Awesome product! Easiest way to cold brew coffee!!
I L-O-V-E cold brewed coffee! I've been making it for years with an arduous process of soaking the grinds, draining with a coarse strainer, then draining again through coffee filters, frequently having to change the filter due to the coffee I use (it's ground on the finer side). It took FOREVER! But the payoff was so good, I was willing to do this weekly. I bought the Toddy system which helped, but again the finely ground coffee would clog the filter and I'd have to dump the brew into a pot, rinse the filter, and start again. Still worth it for the amazing coffee, but also a pain. With these brew bags, that annoying process is OVER! I'm thrilled! I can place the bag over the carafe, add the grinds and water, let it sit overnight and viola! I have amazing coffee waiting for me in the morning without the draining, dripping, and filter changing! When I'm out of coffee, I just grab the bag and do it again. It takes no time at all. I can manage to set it up before going to work even though I'm always running late! I've also made bigger batches in a pot and it works just as well. Just make sure to tie the chords around the top if fully submerging the bag. (The bag fell all the way in first time around and some grinds escaped. Not a major problem and easy to avoid.)This product works as expected and has been a huge time saver for a major cold brew coffee lover!! I used to stop cold brewing once iced coffee season was over due to the arduous filtration process, but may decide to heat my cold brewed coffee this winter since the process is so easy! If you love cold brewed coffee, you won't regret buying these inexpensive, awesome bags!

Great product!
These work great! I started making cold brew coffee by putting grounds and water in a mason jar and then pouring it through a normal coffee filter (painfully slow) or pouring it through one of the metal mesh Keurig filters (a little faster, but you end up with some of the fine grounds in the coffee). These filter bags are great. I still use a mason jar, but I add the grounds to the bag, let it sit in water in the mason jar on the counter overnight, then take the bag out, squeeze the liquid out, empty it, and rinse it. Then I have great cold brew coffee to drink, and what I don't drink gets sealed in the jar and put in the refrigerator. I posted a question on Amazon before buying and the seller replied within a day. That was a good sign and I'm happy I bought them. I wanted to know if you get the residue at the bottom of the coffee like the mesh filters. They said no and they were right! No grounds, or even fine residue at the bottom of the jar. I would recommend these. They are cheap and make cold brewing easy.

Very pleased so far
Update 3/5/16: After making many batches of cold brewed coffee, I am very happy with the bags. They are easy to use and clean and the coffee comes out great. I haven't tried the recipes yet but plan to do so soon. A couple of small tips:1. If you put the coffee in the bag, then drop the bag into your container of water, some of the grounds in the middle of the bag may not get wet, resulting in a weak brew. I have found that if I fill the container by running the water over the bag, the grounds get completely soaked and eliminates this problem.2. If you leave the string hanging down on the outside of the container while brewing, it wicks the coffee and you may end up with a few drips in your fridge. I just make sure I keep the string tucked away on the top of the container.Original review: I have tried making cold brewed coffee without purchasing anything special, just using things I have on hand, but have not been happy with the results. These bags seem to do the trick. The bags are well-constructed and easy to use. I have only made one batch so far but it came out perfectly and tasted great. At the Madesco Labs website, you can download some recipes that use cold brewed coffee and I was surprised at how many were included. I am looking forward to trying many of them. I think these bags are going to be a good investment.

It works well enough but
Sadly the top doesn't close all the way, which is kind of a bummer, I mean surely you can make a design that doesn't let grounds out of the bag, that's kind of the entire point. There are workaroi, I basically just have the top sticking out of the pour nozzle with the seal closed down on it, but i don't really feel like I should have to do that. It's fine, I'll still use it, it technically does what I need it to do with some workarounds, but the design could definitely be a little more intuitive.

Great product, could be made for much less if you have a sewing machine though.
*10 month update*Still works just as well as when I got them, I boil them after each use but as you can see they have stained from all the usage but it doesn't matter at all.So simple to make cold brew compared to what I did previously. For months I would just put the coffee grounds straight into the water and have to spend lots of time filtering it out with a coffee filter over my french press. The secret to not having any sediment in your coffee is not to disturb the jug while brewing and when it's done, take the bag out quickly and put into a bowl or the sink. The sediment comes out if you let the bag drip back into the jug or worse of all, squeeze the coffee bag into the jug.I'm sure these could be made for next to nothing if you have a sewing machine, the drawstrings are useless and I just use a chip bag clip to close it anyway.

Work great, perfect for what we wanted.
We have been using these to make our cold brew for months. We typically put approximately 8 scoops of ground coffee into a 1 gallon glass jug of filtered water overnight. Works great, easy to clean... Exactly what we were looking for! Really only need 1, would be nice to be able to buy them individually (just from a cost point of view).

Expensive For a Cloth Bag; Stains and Looks Dirty
The cold brew bag works decently but is more expensive than it needs to be. The bag doesn't wash up well and looks perpetually dirty. Gives you a nice mason jar worth of cold coffee if you're willing to wait twelve hours or more - you need to prepare ahead of time.

Great bags. Used them yesterday and the coffee is ...
Great bags. Used them yesterday and the coffee is dang good - no silt or graids at all. Next time I’ll presoak the bags before I use so they don’t float right away. I also tied the string around the neck of the bag first because it doesn’t completely close shut then tied to the jug handle before putting in the fridge - I didn’t want to take a chance on getting grinds in the coffee.

Cold Brew Bags
As other reviewers suggested, I turned the bag inside out to avoid coffee grounds getting stuck in the seams. Great product.
