Does the sensor come with a connecting wire?

No, the connecting wire was not included so I personally do not think it is fair for the company to call this part a "DIRECT REPLACEMENT" for the original manufactures part. In order to get the new part wired up, I had to buy an electrical connection kit from WalMart to add a female connector to my wire from the old flame sensor.

will it fit in Carrier furnace model# 58STA110-16? Thank you.

I don't know for sure, but parts like this seem to be pretty standardized. The "flame end" on this is about 1 3/4 inches long, the insulated section almost exactly 1.5", and the long end is about 3.5" overall. Measure yours, and if it's close, it'll likely fit. Mine is for a natural gas furnace - don't know if that will make a difference to you (propane might need a slightly different model, but I really don't know)

it fits my payne model but I have not replaced the old one yet I used a very fine sand paper and cleaned the old one an its working. if you open the panel you could probably see it.
