I would highly reccomend this book for any young reader. It is mainly suitable for the age group of 9-12. The author outlines major historical events of the period without going into the true to life graphic detail of the battles/conditions of the time. Definately a good primer for children to later expand on.

If you like studying and reading about the American Revolution in short snippets without a lot of extra words, then these short stories are just what you need. I love it.

I bought this for my bright 12-year old and he enjoyed the book. He liked the vivid detail and the young boy's perspective of a time in history.

A great read from an actual young man from the Revolutionary War as he encountered the British Army.

Got it last year for my 13 year old grandson. Loved it.

My ten year old and I read this together and talk about the civil war. Good book, came in good condition and we are very pleased with it.
