Mid range pump a match for freshwater boats too
Many of todayโs walleye style fishing boats have vinyl flooring, and that means a wash down pump will conveniently clear off debris fast. Even though a pump on a freshwater boat is a rarity, they are common on saltwater fishing boats and for good reason; wash your hands, spray the dog or yourself on a hot day, rinse the kids after lake swimming, and clean up after spilled bait and thrashing fish. The best way to clean up fishing residue is before it has dried on. This pump is a good fit for large freshwater boats, and up to maybe 18-20 foot salt boats, which often need the higher pressure of a bigger pump after cast netting and landing more and larger fish. The pressure switch on this pump is definitive; it shuts off without lag or uncertainty, and it delivers consistent pressure. The warranty on anything is worthless unless you can contact the company, and this one makes it clear how to do that. Certainly there are less expensive pumps; however, after enjoying always-available high pressure water in the boat I decided to upgrade from the cheaper model that recently failed. When pondering boating efficiency it makes sense to consider the potential benefits of an easy to install pump like this.

Delivers More Lift Than 9-Feet
I have this pump mounted to a wood frame to pump water from my home's well to irrigate my potatoes and black raspberries. When I can babysit it, I connect it to a 12-volt automotive battery. This battery is recharged by a 100W Renogy solar panel, controlled by a small charge controller. The specs of this pump said the maximum head lift is 9-feet, so I cut the siphon (inlet) tubing 9-feet long. The water level in my well is about 9-feet below ground, so it was barely long enough to reach. I added another 5-feet of tube and found that it pumps water and mostly maintains a prime, although sometimes it'll lose the prime and stop pumping. So far, I'm pleased with its performance.

HUGE upgrade!
got this to replace the 11 year old shurflo 3.5 gpm pump that i am pretty sure came with my trailer. thing was having all sorts of issues and it had a constant problem of "surging" pressure whenever you turned something on because of the pump cycling on and off. taking showers SUCKED assuming you could even get a whole shower in before the check valve decided to lock up and have 0 pressure. overall just a bad time with the ol shurflo enter this bad boi. coupled with a seaflo accumulator tank and my water pressure is DEAD NUTS ON 60 PSI at all times. i even put a gauge on there to be sure. all my faucets have excellent flow and pressure on the pump like it was hooked to city water! showers are PERFECT with no weird "surging" from the pump cycling. it's also much quieter which is wild considering this pump is bigger! since i wasn't sure if it had its own check valve, i installed one in-line on the vacuum side. if you do install a check valve, THAT'S WHERE IT GOES. trust me. i put it between the accumulator and pump and the pump didn't want to fully shut off, and the pressure was a whole 5 psi higher than it should be. swapped it around and all is good all and all, this is it y'all. get this one!

Hope it doesn't break or need repair!
I purchased 2 of these pumps, the first on 12/20/20, the second in August of 21. They seem like great pumps to start. In August, the first pump began having an issue where is cycles on and of rapidly, with no reason... no faucet open, no air in lines... I purchased the second one to replace it, intending to have the first warranty repaired. So, I would have a spare for future use if ever needed. Less than 4 months after getting the 2nd, it began having the exact same issue. I called the help-line... the guy told me he would send me a couple of new switches. (So, I must be a qualified repair technician? I work HR.) That was 3 weeks ago. I emailed the reciepts, along with the description of the issue... I get no response. I emailed, asking specifically for a response so I know I'm not being ignored... no response. I've called the help-line 6 times since the first call and can only leave a voicemail. The warranty on the first one expires in less than 10 days. I'm calling the BBB. Update, 3/4/2022: I found someone to put the switches on both pumps, put one back in service. It works, but is still cycling. The guy, Frank H. keeps telling me there must be a leak somewhere and won't honour the warranty. I've had someone crawl around under my house, look for leaks, check the power source for voltage... nothing is wrong. I'd like my money back so I can go with a different company. This pump is faulty and they won't honour their extended warranty.

PUMP AND SELLER ARE TERRIBLE- ZERO STARS
This would give this ZERO if I could. The pump worked great for a few weeks, then quit working. Wouldn't turn on and no power was going to it whatsoever. No worries, we had purchased the warranty plan with Amazon. Went to use it and they said try utilizing the seller's warranty first since it should still be under one with them. Sure no problem, makes sense. Reached out to the seller and explained what happened, they said ok we are going to send you a replacement part, this is usually the issue. Great! Give them the address and wait. 8 days later, no response, no tracking nothing. Reached out again and oh my apologies here is the tracking, gave us the tracking number and low and behold they never sent it until I reached out about it. Got the replacement part and still had the same issue. Reached out and they were wanting us to send the unit back to them at our cost and try to repair it instead of completely resolving the issue that was under warranty. I told them I was not paying more into this and would escalate it needed. They asked for us to email and reach out ot one of their managers to get a better solution, I did and that went unanswered. There is a known durability issue with this pump and even tho it should be under their warranty they want you to jump through all the hoops and still get no resolution. I'm glad I purchased the Asurion protection plan, they were more helpfully than this seller has been and got it resolved within 10 minutes. This seller is unwilling to help so be forwarned, the pump works great for about 6 months and then it doesn't.

Pump too large for 5th wheel RV?
I feel that this this pump moves a little too much volume for my 5th wheel. I was previously running a 42 series Seaflo, which was very quiet with less cycling. I upgraded to this one to experiment with the additional volume that this supplies. Showers are definitely more powerful, but even after adjusting the bypass it still cycles a lot on low flow feeds like my RO filter (with a booster pump to insure RO gets enough pressure under all conditions). RO pressure meter fluctuates a lot with this pump. Possibly could be rectified with a accumulator tank to smooth out the cycling and absorb some of the surge from the larger flow. Ultimately I'll probably just revert to the 42 series and keep this one as the spare. No complaint against the actual pump, other than not a excellent match for my application. Seems like a very nice pump.

I had an Amarine Made pump almost identical to this one, except....
I had an Amarine Made pump almost identical to this one, and it worked great, for awhile. The pump, just like this one pushes out a lot of water and the pressure is excellent (requiring the use of a 40psi regulator on my travel trailer to use this pump. The big difference is in the pressure switch. This pump has a much larger pressure switch to turn the pump on/off on demand than the Amarine Made pump. The switch on the Amarine Made pump failed after only a few days of use while boon docking. This isn't uncommon as even SeaFlo users have reported the same issue with the look-a-like version of the Amarine Made pump. However, only SeaFlo offers this pump with a better switch. I'm going one step further and adding in a 30 amp relay switch, so the 12v SeaFlo switch will activate a 30 amp relay which will turn the pump on and off as needed. This'll ensure that the switch on the pump will last a very long time since it'll have only mA instead of 8 to 17 amps going through it. The pump is a bit loud but it's inside of a shed at my camp site so I don't hear it. If I were to place it in my RV, I would box it with hard Styrofoam to reduce the sound when the pump runs. The only drawback I have with the SeaFlo pump over the Amarine Made pump is that the Amarine Made pump has removable in/out nozzles. I can swap screw type for push on hose type nozzles. The SeaFlo doesn't offer this and has fixed screw on type connectors. I'll have to build adapters as needed. Overall though the pump does what it's supposed to do and does it much better than the Amarine Made (which died due to pressure switch failure), and smaller pumps that I've tried to use. I like the output of this pump.

Sea flow RV pump
I donโt like how the pressure goes in and out on it. But when the pressure is running steady it works great.

Very happy with the pump after 3 months
I've had this pump for about 3 months and it works well and is a lot quiter than the last one I had. I'd definitely buy this again.

Very reliable and pushes water a long way
I don't often review a product but after having this pump for 2 years I am happy to report it surpassed my expectations. I installed the pump at lakeside with a 150 watt solar panel charging 2 - 400 amp hr batteries and it pushes water vertically about 30' with a 200' run to the cottage. I'd say my flow rate is about 2 - 2.5 gpm at this distance with decent pressure. I used 3/4" PEX to the cottage then 1/2" branch lines. No problem operating our on demand hot water heater. So then I plumbed another line to an outbuilding another 75' further from the lake and still have adequate pressure and volume. This pump has worked flawlessly for 2 years now. I'd definitely buy again. I wanted to submit this so that anyone wanting to add water to their off grid cottage can feel confident that this pump will give them the water supply they will need.
