This is one of the best knives I have ever owned for a pocket knife ...
This is one of the best knives I have ever owned for a pocket knife and certainly for any of my knives; and I have very high dollar knives in my collection and this one stacks up solidly behind any of them. Actually, this knife is better in reality than the picture even begins to show, which is rare these days-----------very thick and solid blade and extremely sharp; outstanding design and well made as one would expect from Spyderco, but this one is truly something special, well above and beyond what one would expect even from a fine company like spyderco. This knife is a true fighting knife, if God forbid you find yourself in such an encounter, and its also a very, very sharp work knife. Easy opening and a razor sharp blade, so use some caution with this blade, trust me its sharper than even the most sharp spyderco's I've owned and carried for years, they are all pretty sharp out of the box, but this one is a bit more so, trust me. I read one review about the handle not being big enough? I have fairly large hands at 6'0 over 200 lbs etc. and it works for me just fine, perfectly actually--- but of course its whatever you think you need, but not seeing how the handle is failing to be big enough,-- unless you have the hands of bigfoot perhaps lol,...but if your using this knife properly even as bigfoot, which is fingers up on the top of this knife blade down, there is actually excesses handle, and even if you don't use the knife as it was intended, there is more then enough handle for at least 99% of the population in the known world . Outstanding knife, I will be buying a couple of more of these to give friends to family who are in the same profession as myself for that EDC with an extra punch and slash for those up close and defense situations, which no one seeks, but it were needed this is the knife for that purpose. Bottom line for the money you can't go wrong with this knife, period, --- and actually for any price,-- I would stack this knife up very high on the list, against -any- folder on the market for EDC.

Top Design, Top Quality, and Top Service
This knife, the Youjimbo 2, has been long in high demand. When I finally found it in-stock on Amazon about 2 weeks ago, I snapped it up. I have to say that, although I am not an expert on this, this has to be one of the best folding pocket knives ever designed. I read articles about it before and wanted it. When I received the knife, I found that the fit and finish were flawless, the blade as sharp as a razor, and the feel was that of a very solid and sturdy tool. The steel used is listed out there as one of the highest-rated stainless tool steels. I had a minor "problem." The opening action was a bit stiff. I tried working the pivot a number of times, then tried a high-grade lubricant. Still stiff. I then looked up the issue on the internet and found that tactical knives were in fact adjusted in stiffness by their pivot bolts. The screws or bolts used on the Yojimbo 2 are those which take star-shaped wrenches, like the Apple iPhone, but much larger. Having had an iPhone with an issue, I had a set of such wrenches on hand. I set to with the wrench, once I had the correct size wrench in hand, and in a few seconds, loosened the pivot bolt by about 5 degrees. I tried it out. Still too stiff, but better. I then took it another 5 degrees and now it is perfect. I am sure that by making it tight, this served the manufacturer well in controlling tolerance and making tightening unnecessary for the user. Tightening can strip bolts, so it is safer to loosen. So this serves the user well. The clip mounting holes allowed me to place the clip in the correct position, so that I, a lefty, could carry it securely tip-up in my left pocket. I would prefer the clip to be black in color instead of the uncolored stainless, but that is not a flaw, just a preference. The size and quality of this knife make it a possibility as a compact survival knife, one you can trust, although the very sharp tip is a bit delicate in that role. Overall, I am very happy. As an Amazon Prime customer, the shipping is fast and efficient for me, with few delays. I am quite happy with Amazon on this as well.

Love it
Ahh the ubiquitus YoJimbo! Love it, designed for defense yet perfectly practical for EDC. Just a great all around work horse. Comfortable ergo's, nicely balanced, fidget friendly, grippy scales, secure locking mechanism, wonderfully slicy hollow grind blade, which came razor sharp. Typical Spyderco quality. Outstanding. DO I think it's better then the Para 2....nope but it's a wonderful piece to add to your kit if you already own a Para 2 or 3. My gripes, a bit heavy for a medium folder, razor sharp spider hole on the blade. Which will cut you if deployed incorrectly. Easy to remedy but not something the consumer should have to do on a $200 plus knife. Overall it's an excellent choice and serves a multipurpose roll. Very well made and noth8ng beats the amazing action that one typically experiences with Spyderco. Highly recommend

Sleek Design, Razor-Sharp Blade, and Comfortable Handle
I recently purchased the Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Tactical Knife, and I am thoroughly impressed with its sleek design, razor-sharp blade, and comfortable handle. This knife has exceeded my expectations in terms of both quality and functionality. The blade is incredibly sharp straight out of the box and has held its edge well even after regular use. The handle is ergonomically designed, providing a secure and comfortable grip. I've found that the knife is well-balanced and easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for tactical and everyday carry use. My only minor concern is that even after being oiled, the knife doesn't open as easily as I've become accustomed to with other Spyderco products. However, this is a small issue that doesn't detract from the overall quality and performance of the knife. Overall, I highly recommend the Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Tactical Knife to anyone in need of a reliable and high-quality knife. Its sleek design, sharp blade, and comfortable handle make it a top choice for both tactical and everyday use.

My EDC
This is one of the nicest personal defense tools ever designed (It also makes an excellent heavy duty utillity knife though the tip is thin). Designed for thumb placement on the spine of the blade it is a natural extension of the hand that allows you to apply greater downward pressure to your cuts. The blade geometry aids in this with its long flat cutting edge that won't slip off what you are cutting like a rounded edge, allowing you to transfer all of the downward force evenly from heel to tip of the blade while cutting. The point of the knife is a Wharncliffe shape which was determined by the knifes designer Michael Janich in penetration testing to be the shape that allowed for easiest and deepest penetration even over spear point and other blade shapes. The Pivot action on this knife is smooth and the safety detent is adequate but not overkill, it is easy to "thumb flick" this knife open. It's easy to open in reverse grip with your ring finger as well with a little practice. The Lock used on this knife is my favorite lock type in the industry the "Compression Lock" it moves the traditional liner lock action to the back side of the knife handle keeping your fingers safe during closing and adds the safety of compressing the lock between the tang and the lockbar while open. This knife is #1 in my top 3. The Yojimbo 2, para military 2, and Emerson combat karambit. Oh, and the G10 scales and nested skeletonized liners are awesome too.

Wow! If you want an ergonomic razor on steroids...
If you want an ergonomic, fun to play with razor on steroids, then the Yojimbo 2 is it. I had my eye on this knife for months and finally decided to pull the trigger. Some things to know when it arrives... First off, be careful, it’s sharp. When I said it’s a razor on steroids I wasn’t kidding. This knife was designed and marketed as a self defense blade - not that it can’t be used for other EDC tasks as well, but the tip is super fine, to the point where it appears fragile. But the S30V and convex grind should definitely help keep it attached as long as you’re not prying with the thing. Another point to keep in mind is that the action will break in over time. It may seem a little stiff at first, but after a few dozen (or hundred) flicks open, it will be like butter! With the Spydie hole and compression lock, hitting a couple hundred flicks is easy because it’s so much fun to do!! Thumb flick, middle finger (Spydie flick), and compression lock opening are all a joy to deploy this fine blade. The handle is comfortable, and the knife feels light enough that it disappears in my pocket when compared to other knives in my rotation. Now in closing I must say; this knife is not for everyone, nor do I think it’s the best overall EDC choice if you only own one knife. (A Spyderco PM2 or PM3 would be better suited). But if you want a well made, enjoyable blade that can definitely cut stuff and probably be good if it ever came down to needing a knife for defense, then I approve. PS- I’ve had this knife in my carry rotation for over a week now and it made me catch the bug - just ordered a Spyderco PM2 tonight!
