The glove helped to prevent this from happening and even though he was cranky for a couple of days and did not like the glove, he got used to it pretty quickly. The glove stays on very well, and he is not able to take it off by himself. It is made of elastic material which is very convenient because it dries very quickly once you wash it. Overall i am very happy about this purchase. It is definitely worth the money especially if you compare it to the cost of braces.One thing I do wish though, is if it came with two sets of gloves.
