Can this be applied with a syringe?

Durham's Water Putty can be diluted to anything from a very thick paste.... to something about the consistency of milk. So Yes... it could be applied with a syringe. Now, how strong that might be when it dries, is something that I cannot speak to. "Probably" it would be hard and strong, but perhaps not. I often mix Durham's Water Putty with lightweight spackle (about 50/50) and then dilute it a bit with water. This makes a great, easily sandable filler for balsa wood....If you are not familiar with this product, it comes as a dry powder (similar to pancake mix)... and you dilute it with water to suit your application...

Does this only come in white? I need to fill knot holes in a wood floor and wanted a dark color

I have mixed the putty with the stain instead of water, you can stain after if it needs to be darker

Can this be used on a rotted porch step if primed/painted after? One post says you need to add resin for hardening. Do you ? Tks!

Yes, absolutely! I used this product on a severely rotted window frame. I mixed the batter to the consistency of soft ice cream. Using a spackle knife I packed the putty into the rotted area and let dry 24 hours to cure. In the morning, I sanded, primed and painted it. This was three years ago, still looks great and it never leaked once.

Can it be injected into rotted wood

The rotted wood must be treated with a product designed to "coat" affected area. The rotted wood that can be removed with, for example, a wire brush must be done. If the entire wood member is rotted it cannot be repaired. After treatment with the rotted wood product Durhams may be used as a "filler".
