Product Description For those who prefer a roomy bottle with a smaller opening, we offer our narrow-mouth loop-top bottle. It offers all the same advantages as our wide-mouth, with a top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost. .com Not everyone likes the wide-mouth design of traditional Nalgene water bottles, which is one reason the company built the narrow-mouth Nalgene Tritan. Made of super-tough Eastman Tritan polycarbonate, the Tritan offers the same roomy interior as most Nalgenes, but with a narrow loop top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost. In addition, the bottle's BPA-free construction is impact-, odor-, and stain-resistant, helping it withstand a wide range of temperatures (from -40 to 212 degrees F) and last for years. Finally, the bottle includes printed graduations on the side, making it easy measure water quantities. Recommended for extreme adventures, the Tritan bottle is available in a variety of vivacious colors. About Nalgene Outdoor Based in Rochester, N.Y., Nalgene was founded in 1949 as a manufacturer of the first plastic pipette holder. The company soon expanded its product line to include state-of-the-art polyethylene labware under the Nalgene brand. By the 1970s, outdoor enthusiasts had discovered the taste and odor-resistant, leakproof, and rugged properties of Nalgene's large selection of plastic containers. In response to this emerging demand, Nalgene created a Consumer Products Division. In the ensuing years, Nalgene created a full line of bottles that were perfect for storing everything from water to powdered drinks to pancake mix to shampoo.

Tried and true...best water bottles on the market
After years of forking out cash for other upscale brand water bottles for my family of 4, I angrily cleaned out my water bottle cupboard (yes, I have a water bottle cupboard) of broken, missing parts, leaky water bottles that averaged $20 each or more. I glanced over at the counter and there was my husband's trusty Nalgene (looks exactly like this except grey...not much has changed) from 2007. The volume measure on the side is a little worn off but still legible, and the bottle and cap are still trucking along, not leaking, doing their job, after a decade.I realized, those water bottles have been in the dishwasher multiple times per week for 10 years. He's dropped them many times on various surfaces. He literally dropped one off a cliff while hiking and it survived. They've been left in super hot and super cold cars, frozen solid full of water when we found them. The cap is permanently attached, and there are no other parts to lose, so we still have them both intact. They were the only survivors of my purge. His 2 bottles are a plain grey, but now they come in other bright colors so I bought 2 for each family member in their own color choice. This teal with orange was perfect for my daughter. My son got red, and I have purple. What a relief! They are all the same size and shape, easily identifiable, and virtually indestructible. All parts are dishwasher friendly, the kids can't lose straws, caps, plugs, etc. The 16oz size is big enough for me to take on a hike but small enough for my grade school aged kids to handle. There are no fancy drinking mechanisms to learn, clean or break - it's just a straight twist off cap that fits nice and tight so you don't worry about throwing it in the bottom of a backpack. And the price - great deal compared to the other bottles I've been buying!Go for it...you won't be disappointed.

My first narrow mouth
At first I bought a 16oz wide mouth in pink fireย Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 1-Pint, Fire Pink! It's a perfect size for casual outing and cool days. After using it, I wanted a sister 16oz narrow mouth bottle in the same color. This is my first ever narrow mouth bottle and it honestly looks like an old fashion tonic bottle. With the sparkly pink body it is too cute not to take it out often to drink from it.BTW, base of the narrow mouth is wider than the 16oz wide mouth thus not cup holder friendly. Also the capacity is bigger. Fill to capacity the narrow mouth is 21oz (wide mouth is 17oz). The last photo shows 32oz wide mouth, 16oz narrow mouth, 16oz wide mouth, and 12oz wide mouth (the same mouth size as the 32oz thus splashguard compatible).

Tough as Nails
Working outside for a living, I purchased this bottle to keep water with me during those hot summer days (any day really, hydration is a must any time of year) and it has proven to be well worth the cost. I've had this bottle for about a year and a half now and since purchase, its been dropped countless times on pavement, concrete, and other hard surfaces, and has dealt with the abuse like a champ. No leaks, no cracks, etc. After a year and a half of abuse, all the paint on the outside (measurements, Nalgene logo) has long since worn off and the outside of the bottle has been scratched to a dull blue from constant contact with dirt and getting tossed around. It may be beat up and looking ragged but it's still holding strong. The bottle fits perfectly in my cargo pants/shorts pockets and not only do I carry it with me at work, it also goes just about everywhere with me. Except for when its being cleaned, it stays in my car for when I'm out and about. With the rare exception, I haven't purchased bottled water in a long time, no more waste!A few minor issues and a reason I didn't give a five star review. First, as noted above, the paint has completely worn off the outside of the bottle. No big deal since I don't need to make any measurements but if I did, the bottle wouldn't be very useful. It would be better if those measurements were imprinted into the bottle itself so it doesn't wear off, at least not for a very long time. Second, its stated the bottle will fit in a standard cup holder which for my vehicle, is not true. It does fit in a pocket on my driver's side door though, so all is good and I still have easy access to it if I need to take a sip.In all, it's a good water bottle and as stated in the title, is tough as nails. I would recommend!

After just a few days smelled of mold
The bottle is well made, the color was vibrant and it was easy to fill and use. I bought the 16oz and 32 oz in the same color. After a few days, the container began to smell of mold. I would empty, clean, and refill it with new water every day. We use Poland Spring jugs to refill it, and when I poured that water into any other cup there was no smell of mold. So, I tried various cleaning methods I had read about online, and each time, within 1-2 days of use the container would once again smell of mold. I had used another Nalgene container daily for 3 or 4 years prior to this purchase and never had this issue. I've now purchased a different brand, and there is no mold/smell.

Very nice. Compact 16oz thick plastic water bottle
Liking it. I needed something that was safe to use. I had been reusing store bought water bottles. Probably not the healthiest move. The container is made of very firm plastic, more so than I thought it would be. Bottle is short and wide which makes it less likely to be knocked over. Make sure it will fit in your car bottle holder if that's your need. It does not fit in mine very well. I went for the small mouth variety as I think it is easier to drink from. Cap closes well with no leaks. My only concern is with how well it will do in the cold. If I leave this in the car with or without liquid will it crack? We will see.

WISH THIS BOTTLE HAD A WIDE MOUTH
Nalgene bottles are handy for camping -- you always need to drink something, and on extra-cold nights, and a Nalgene bottle can be filled with boiling water, and used inside a sleeping bag to keep you warm. This one does all that, but I wish it had a wider mouth -- it would be more useful that way. My son is a Boy Scout, and he wanted to use his bottle to make some soup on a camping trip -- but the mouth is too small to pour the dehydrated soup into without losing a fair amount of it. A wider mouth bottle would be better.

BEST BOTTLE ON THE PLANET 100%
Most amazing bottle that i've ever had. The 16oz narrow mouth fits in my bottle cage on my bike- it's a plastic one that flexes to allow it to fit. Any rigid bottle cages/ ones that don't allow a slight bit of give, probably won't fit the bottle. The mouth has a very slight bump at the top which makes drinking very very easy and comfortable. As far as i know, the bottle does not leak. I've shaken it around violently and held it upside down and there is not one drop. The plastic is of great quality. I do not intend to throw it around or drop it very much, regardless, it would definitely take quite a beating. I've seen a youtube video where a 32oz one gets dropped off a 2 storey height and survives. It explodes after the 3rd storey but that's still quite impressive. The 16oz is perfect for every day use IF you have somewhere to fill it up regularly like at work/ at the gym. If you want it for big day trips i would suggest getting a larger size.I got the purple colour. As you can see, it is much darker than in the picture when chosing a colour on the site. I still like it a lot anyway. Just thought i'd point that out because i was curious as to what colour it would actually turn out as when i placed the order. To summarise, best bottle in the world. Will definitely last me about 15 years minimum as i intend to take good care of it. Everything is as described, no faults as of yet and i am very pleased.

Bottle for life!
This is the third nalgene bottle Iโve ever bought, the first one, a litre bottle I use every day at home, the second โdisappearedโ in my house! This is a great size for commuting to stash in a backpack or handbag and the size of the neck means itโs easy to refill at water stations. Itโs worth investing in a good bottle brush as itโs not as easy to clean as the wide neck bottles (as is my litre bottle) but itโs still easy to clean and the lid and bottle connecter can be easily removed to wash and reattached. After having my litre bottle for well over half a century, it still doesnโt smell despite often being used for orange dilute drinks. Excellent quality and also worth noting that the caps can be replaced. Brilliant!

Excellent and easy to maintain drinking bottle
This is an excellent drinking bottle, that is well constructed, resilient and durable. This is going to last me years. Its an attractive design, and I've received a lot of positive comments about it.At present, I take my bottle to the gym, use it in the house and also use it at my office. It is distinctively marked and simple to see how much liquid is in the container at any one time, so one can see their amount of consumption.Practically speaking, the narrow mouth makes it easier to drink from, yet it is still easy to wash and it dries normally in a dish rack. The bottle doesn't leak, and the strap attached to it, makes it easy to lift the bottle even with a couple of fingers.I've experiened a few drops and bumps with the bottle, but there has been no detrimental effect on it.This is the best water bottle, I have ever had, and I am enamoured with it, that I will purchase another one for my office use (and keep my exising one for the home and gym). It may seem expensive at just over ยฃ 11, but its worth every penny.

The best bottle Iโve ever owned
The best damn bottle Iโve ever had! No leaks (so far) but I defiantly trust this bottle to do the job. Never once has the water tasted funny, and I like the fact that the lid is narrow. Well sized so that itโs not too heavy or large to carry and can be easily refilled of course. Iโve dropped it numerous times and although thereโs a few scuffs it doesnโt show any sign of breaking!Even though thereโs a lifetime guarantee iโll still be buying another one for gym use and keep using this one for work!Edit: Iโve had it for a few months, lost it and now have bought another one, and would do again. Could still buy two more with the price of plastic bottles in John Lewis.

Leakproof, tough, and really easy to drink from
This is the best water bottle I've ever seen or used, and goodness knows there's plenty of choice these days.It has a slightly flared mouth that's really easy to drink from, whether you want to swig or sip. The cap is quick to unscrew, even one-handed, and is secure and leakproof. The material is tough and doesn't crack or dent when you drop it. It's a no-frills design that will outlast all the fancy types with their sports nozzles, straws, ice containers and whatnot.I'd had my previous one for years so was annoyed to find I'd left it on a park bench. I've just bought two more.

Perfect
This bottle is excellent. It's compact, sturdy, doesn't make the water taste funny, and absolutely does not leak. Nalgene offer a lifetype warranty, too. This will be my second Nalgene bottle- not because I broke the last one, but because I left it on a plane! When I was finished cursing, I immediately hopped online to buy another. They're a bit expensive, but absolutely worth it. They're durable, safe (won't leech nasty things into your water) and reliable. Most of us need to drink more water, so having a good quality reusable bottle is a really useful thing. I bought the last one so that I'd always have water when I got stuck on the train in the summer, and now wouldn't be without!

A Great Classic Made Better by a Narrow Mouth
Just love Nalgene bottles as they are pretty much indestructible. This size is perfect to fit into my bag whilst not making the bag too heavy. Best of all is the narrow neck as it makes drinking from the bottle much easier than the normal wide mouth Nalgene produce.

FABULOUS!
I absolutely love these bottles for my family - we dont buy plastic bottles of water anymore. Wouldn't be without these now - have bought different sizes and colours and they're all great!

Great design
I think Nalgene make the best water bottles: sturdy components that don't snap, attractive, easy to clean. If you're looking for a day-to-day water bottle, this one is wider than their "everyday" bottle but has a narrower neck which can be easier to drink from while on the move. It's still small enough to fit in a medium size shoulder bag or to carry around by hand. And as with all, it has a useful loop to hang or hold it by.

Great quality, from a reputable brand.
Don't bother looking for any other bottles, just get this one, Nalgene is known for making good products and this one is as good as it is. I've had a wide mouth before which was good, but little too big for daily use, also the opening made it a little bit hard to drink without spilling when walking, cycling or doing whatever you might be doing when drinking out of this bottle.

No aftertaste
It was too wide to fit in the pocket of my bag and shape didn't work but otherwise excellent quality and I will look for a narrower style if they make one. Of all the plastic style bottles I have had this is the only one that doesn't leave the water tasting funny.

Perfect substitute to a disposable
I wanted this as it's like drinking out of the disposable plastic bottles. I don't like the sports type. This is a perfect. Washable. Small sized. Fits a drinks cup holder.

Makes water smell
Perfect size for my kids to take to school but after only a few hours the water smells like chlorine, despite using filtered water. None of our other bottles make our water smell....
