The translation is not word for word - more translating the idea or spirit of the original. Fine for reading but not the best for learning new words. Still, I like the book

These books were disappointing because the publisher has not included the stress accents on the Russian text.For a student needing dual language, the stress marks are an extra help to the spoken language.Amazon never gives enough information about the book you wish to buy. A close-up photo of a page of text would be good. Is the font big or small, does it have accents, etc. Even the name of the publisher (nowhere listed in the printed books). Of course, the stories are great, worth 5 stars, but only 3 stars from me because the books are not useful to me.
