Instead of black, as the picture shows, or Duronotic, which is a dark bronze, it consists of a bright silver body (likely aluminum) and a silvery flecked spray-painted finish on the knob. Compared to other thumb turns, the threading does not continue onto the outer part of the body. The trim ring is a little flimsy (but is not usually provided with most thumb turns).
