Kamik Women's Heidi Rain Boots

Great classic rain boots...(maybe made of rubber). Comfortable to wear and were true to my size.

I wear these boots in the rain, also with heavy socks in the snow. The fit is comfortable and fashionable. They are not wide at the top even for my smaller legs which is important on a rainy day. Who wants rain falling in your boots. I have flat feet and an extra bone in front of each ankle that hurts like heck if i don't have decent padding and support. As long as I wear thick socks my fake ankles as we call them, don't hurt.nThe inside of the boots are lined with some soft felt like material but on a cold winter day I would stll recommend a nice heavy sock. I wore these boots for the first time to an outdoof football game Giants and 49'ers it was cold and I wore wool socks with them and my feet were nice and warm. I have worn these boots often and they are not falling apart, ripping or anything. They are easy to clean, just wipe them with water and they are clean and shiny. They are sharp, high quality boots. Kamik is a great name in rain boots, these are no cheap knock off boots. I have had these for over a year and wear them often and they still look new. I really would like to get more colors in the Heidi. The Heidi fit seems to be made for people with smaller legs and calves and that is me. But if i gain weight in my legs, i will still be able to wear them. I am 5'5 130lbs, so i am not skinny. I bought these boots with my own money at full price and would again.

After searching online and in stores for the perfect boot I decided to purchase these Kamik Women's Heidi rain boots in black/noir. I wear a size 9 in shoes so I purchased the same size in these boots. They are a perfect fit. So far I have only worn them with thin socks but there is room to wear them with a thick wool socks. They are snug but it feels just right, as if these boots were made just for me. My feet have stayed warm and dry. Everyone who see's me wearing these always compliments me on them. They are very simple yet stylish. I would purchase these again for myself if I ever needed to. I have actually just ordered 3 pairs for my children from this same Kamik brand since I am so pleased with the quality of these boots. These boots are pretty tall on me but I'm 5'4". There are other varieties of the same brand that are taller. The material is shiny, sort of a "patent leather" look. I recommend these boots to both young and old. They're pretty neat and do what they're meant to do. Thanks Kamik for an awesome, excellent quality product.

Even though I am most likely sending these boots back, I will still give them 4 stars. Here's the problem...they are tight at the top. Which is really surprising because I have never had a problem with any boots fitting me that way. And I read the reviews that stated that they were larger at the top! I didn't get them to make any fashion statement. I wanted simple rain boots that would coordinate with whatever rain jacket I decided to put on that day. So I got simple black. They look great and even feel great except that I suspect if I were to wear them for longer than it takes to wash my car I would have skin issues. I have average size calves--never measured them as I've never encountered a boot that I couldn't wear. I wear an 8.5 in shoes, got the 9. It fit great on my foot. I had on black leggings when I pulled them out of the box and tried them on and was shocked to feel how tight they were on my calves. I don't think there is any way that I could wear jeans tucked in...and I only wear skinny jeans. So 4 stars because if there were even an extra 1/2 inch at the top I think they would be perfect. Very flexible. You could fold them over and pack them easily. This is super important to me as I had decided not to buy any rain boots that would take up my entire carry on when flying. These are perfect for that purpose. So...if you have smaller calves and want a great looking simple boot that you can pack easily, these are your boots. Also, love the flat bottom in a rain boot. I don't really like the kind that have a slight heel. Great traction as well. So back to the beginning where I said I will 'most likely send them back'. Because they were very reasonably priced ($25ish with reward points) I may talk myself into keeping them and trying to stretch the top or wear them only with leggings and see what happens?? Who knows...I ordered some Sloggers just now and if they work better I will probably send these back. Ugh...stupid calves!
