First of all, it is a steel bowl, so it rates the two stars right there, but that's it. The surface is marred, with some areas looking polished, and some areas looking like it was dragged over asphalt. The interior had some dark material in it, that I had to scrape off. Honestly, it looked like someone used it for a couple years and returned it. Not up to my very reasonable expectations. UPDATE: Good customer service, so I am upping my rating. Although this item was not my cup of tea, the shave soaps and aftershave lotions that I have bought from them have all been superior products.

Nice bowl for mixing shaving cream but it gets cold very fast

My dermatologist recommended that I switch to the old-school single blade safety razor to help with razor burn - and it's been a good process.I was just going to use an older coffee mug instead of buying this one, but I wanted it to match and work well. I find the shape is optimized for getting a nice foamy lather using the boar hair brush, and because it's stainless steel, it cleans up very nicely.A regular mug with straight walls would be a bit more challenging to use. It's now something I use every day. Only thing I'm not sure of is if I can travel with it as cary-on, if that might upset the TSA people.

Try it 3 times and does the work

Well made item but most all shaving soaps are too big for it. I had to force the shave soap down into it and the later continually comes up over the edge so super messy. Just like everything else on Amazon, much smaller than what you would think when ordering.
