1.5 Quart Colander

I absolutely love this colander! I no longer needed a large colander, so I ordered the 3 quart size. It is the perfect size if you are cooking for 2 to 3 people. The drainage is very good. It has a good weight to it, is sturdy without being heavy. I recommend hand washing the colander to maintain the beautiful color. I ordered the magenta and am so pleased. It is a vibrant, happy color. It looks exactly like the pictures posted by the seller. I keep it on the counter or table with baked goods or fruit. The 3 qt size holds up to 9 apples. This colander is pricey, but it is very well made.

I had a wire colander. It was a nightmare. It was impossible to clean, it would come out of the dishwasher dirtier than when it went in. Everytime I would take it out of the cabinet I would try and find a reason to throw it out, but this beast just kept chugging along. I was hoping that the wire would break or something so i could throw it out, but it never happened. One day I took it out of the dishwasher and just could not bear to see the colander ever again. I threw it out. That same day I ordered this Colander. Its big enough to use for just about everything! The foot on the bottom makes it super sturdy. I can pour whole pots of pasta and water and it never tips. It stands in the sink where I can wash fruits and vegetables it. The construction is strong enough to keep it from denting or warping. The blue color is fun and gives it a vintage appeal. This thing ended the tyranny of the wire strainer that lasted far longer than it should have.

First few months were great. Liked the size, handles and color. Now a year later the finish has flaked off with rust underneath. Tossed in the junk pile this morning.

This is a handy strainer. but when I was a LOT younger and hadn't had this lesson to learn from, I ruined one of these by using it as a steamer. That enamel will not hold up to intense heat, it will discolor and eventually rust. But I learned and this is my plan, to hand wash it for the most part. I love the base, will stand without problem in the sink. The main reason I bought this other than I loved the style and I like the orange color. it's a good halfway orange, doesn't lean to yellow or red. ( I'm picky *L*) it's sturdy and It will no doubt last for years, as I have multiple steamer types and won't be tempted. but for now, it's a fruit bowl *L*

Wonderful, 5 qt too big for me but kept the 3 qt one, it’s perfect for a family of five, does not tip over, easy to wash, great handles👍

I haven’t used it? I bought it for a gift and made a beautiful gift with it! I put a cheese grated inside it and some Italian pasta and homemade Italian marinara sauce and extra virgin olive oil and a nice dish towel and pot holders. A pretty small festive candle and wrapped it cellophane with a beautiful bow and it’s ready to go! Looks beautiful!

This is quite small. Perfect for single portions. Wish it was dishwasher safe, but it is easy to wash by hand. Love the sunny yellow color. I like yellow in a kitchen and it is difficult to find utensils and appliances in this warm, welcoming color.

(Updated) Well, it was pretty but the bloom is off the proverbial rose. I bought the red and yellow to match a small blue antique. Sadly it didn’t hold up. It started rusting around the bottom rim a few months back and now that’s into the base as well. And the yellow is starting to show signs too. Before you ask, no it was never soaked or in a dishwasher, and used 1-2 times per month. Maybe this is normal for a metal colander, but I was hoping for years not months. (Original review at purchase time) Exactly what I wanted. Classic look, yellow pop of color, durable. The 5 is big so I got a smaller one in red. Otherwise, it’s a colander.

A ce prix, je considère que c'est une arnaque, car cette passoire n'est pas ergonomique. Le nettoyage se fait difficilement à cause des vis de maintien des poignées
