Can't Beat a Classic
This is a perfect alternative when there is no coffee maker in sight. I recently moved and had to wait a couple of weeks for my appliances and this did the trick. Especially since I was only making coffee for myself. Just boil the water and pour through. It's a little messy afterwards but if you let it cool down the coffee grounds solidify and it's easier to get out. Do not get oil in it or wash it with too much soap. Make sure to rinse very well with hot water after each use and let it air dry.
