Sip into sophistication! ☕️
Fortnum and Mason's Lapsang Souchong is a premium loose tea, expertly crafted from plucked leaves that are smoked over pinewood fires, delivering a rich, smoky flavor. Packaged in an elegant gift tin, this tea is perfect for afternoon enjoyment and pairs beautifully with strong cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Very Nice Lapsang With Depth.
I was hesitant to buy this given some of the other reviews, but I took a chance, and this is an excellent lapsang. My other commercial brand is the Harney & Sons and I like this one better. It tastes deeper and a little stronger. The packaging is beautiful and so it gets a spot of honor on my counterI’m developing a real fondness for these commercial lapsangs over and above the loose leaf that I have bought from online specialty retailers. I am a big fan of puerh tea, and usually go to special retailers, but I love this lapsang in a can.I’m sending a photo so that you can see the relative size of the can next to the Harney & Sons.

A Friend LOVES This Tea
Long ago I introduced some friends to Lapsang Souchong Tea. I have always drunk Twinnings, however, I had a tin of Fortnum & Mason brand Lapsang which someone had given me. My friend tried it when I was out of the usual Twinnings brand, and thought it absolutely superior. A bit pricey, but a tin goes a long way. It's now my "go to" gift for his birthdays, etc. He drinks it daily. I haven't yet tried it [afraid I'll love it too, & have to start paying more for my Lapsang Souchong!].

Smells and tastes bad
Have not had this tea before so not certain if this is normal but it smells and tastes bad. Not eligible for return so lost $32.

Packaging doesn't protect the tin...
I cannot understand how one would send a tin box in an Amazon envelope. No wonder it gets dented... which defeats the purpose of having such a nice tin in the first place. Also the white sticker on the tin is really hard to remove and huge... isn't there a different kind of label that makes it easier to remove?? Overall 1 star as the tea is fine, but it's the tin that is all the rage.
