My study group was looking for a thank you gift to give our professor after having him for 2 semesters. We didn't want to do something too ostentatious, but this seemed just corny enough that he would enjoy it, but still nice enough to be something he wouldn't be embarrassed to have on his desk or in his office. It's cute. The packaging is just as shown, but is kind of juvenile for a university professor, so I will probably put it in a gift bag. The actual apple is substantial. It has enough weight that it isn't going to easily roll over, but the issue is the finish. It is chrome-shiny, which is good, but it has flaws. I don't know if it was dipped and some parts didn't get even coverage, because there are a couple of marred places that stand out just because of how shiny it is. Overall though, it's a good value for the cost, and is just cliche enough to be a cute idea.

Looks great and does not look cheap considering the price. It would make a wonderful gift especially for teachers. My son was so proud to give the golden apple to his teacher. And the teacher loved it! It will serve as a wonderful keepsake and serve as a decor/ paperweight on teacher’s desk for years!

It was a Mother's Day gift for my daughter who teaches elementary school.. She absolutely loved it! I was impressed with not only the beauty of the piece, but the size as well. I thought the price was very reasonable.
