Great book by the eminent scholar anthropologist, Talal Asad. A dense academic read but a solid one nonetheless touching on a breath of topics within his scope of study including ideas associated with religiosity, secularism (and the inherent, overt, and covert contradictions that exist within those secular spaces), and religious agency amongst a range of other related and/or associated topics. An important and necessary read.
