My old wooden table is rough and i need something to put under paper to write on. Would these work?

No this is more for kitchen use. I think it would be hard to write on top of it’s kind of a gritty texture not smooth enough

It lays real flat. And is about 1/4 inch thin. It does scratch some. But does protect your table. I use for other things that need protection.
