And I love Sauer Frau for combining the two flavors into a convenient, squeezable, picnic- and tailgate-ready condiment.Giant bags of kraut (that aren't resealable) and glass jars (that can break in transit) have their places in my kitchen. But when I want just a small amount of kraut for a sandwich, this squeeze bottle means less waste and less hassle - and I can take it on the road. Yes, the consistency of the kraut is finer than we are used to, but it has to be in order to pass through the opening in the lid. And yes, the (liquid) brine will escape before the (solid) kraut. However, a really good shake of the plastic bottle helps recombine the two after settling. (Something I automatically do with ALL condiment bottles before pouring.)The appearance of the finely chopped and shredded kraut is typical. The fermented flavor is sour, salty, and mustardy. The texture is firm, crunchy, and juicy. And the taste is GREAT.I haven't sampled the other two options (Classic or Bavarian,) but the Craft Beer Mustard is my new favorite condiment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just Like Authentic German Deli Sauerkraut! *by R***R on November 8, 2024* If you like sauerkraut with or without caraway seeds, this has got to be the best kraut I've ever tasted for sale in any store! I think I remember back in the late 1960's having this type of German sauerkraut in our home...the incredible taste is very reminiscent. This kraut comes in a squeezable bottle. This was a huge design flaw... The hole is too small for the kraut to escape! It's not defective, just obviously untested. The only solution is to empty the kraut in to a small plastic container and stick it in your refrigerator. Now I can access the kraut. The flavor is great, I gave it four stars because it is difficult to get it out of the bottle. I ordered both the regular and the one with mustard.
