Review: Worked great, and fit everything I needed! - Very good quality cash box. The only thing that annoyed me a bit was that the bill slots were just a touch short - this may be to make it easier to swipe the bills out from the top of the stack though. There is a good amount of room in the back section behind the bills - I was able to fit a stack of 25 1's, and two rolls each of Q's, D's, N's & 4 rolls of pennies, as well as my portable battery charger for my phone (a stick kind which is about the same diameter as a roll of quarters. It stuck up a bit, but there was plenty of room even after the cantilever folds down when closing the box. There was also room for me to throw my phone in the box on top of the bill slots - as long as I kept it to the front of the box the cantilever portion didn't come down on top of the phone at all. The key lock worked very well - no sticking. The button you need to push in the front is kind of hard to push in and there is no spring in the top of the box - it's not a bad thing because it makes it very secure even when not locked. You just have to get used to pulling up on the handle at the same time as you press in the button to get it open.
Review: Excellent cash box. Not for people who have arthritis or difficulty opening things. - This is an excellent cash box. It is sturdy and well made. The clips for the dollar bills work well, and it opens up in a tier fashion that allows easy access to everything. You can prop the bill clips up if you are using the box frequently, and you can lower them to hold the bills in place. There is also a key. The only caution I would give is that the button you have to push to open it required a firm hand. This would be a disadvantage to a senior who had arthritis, or anyone else who has trouble opening bottles, etc. In our fmily, we a really like the firm button, because we are able to keep the box closed without having to lock it (our children think it is locked, because it is too hard to open for them, so I don't need to fetch the key every time I want to open it).

I love this cash box.Its nice sturdy and strong . I was hesitant to buy it after reading a few reviews about the slots not being long enough and/or ripping the money if too much is in it. Also there was comments about it being hard to open. First off, you simple have to push in the button and lift the handle at the same time, and it will open effortlessly. The money slots fits the bills fine. I put a lot in to see if I would have the problem many mentioned here and the answer is no. The bill will come up a little but not to the point of distraction or frustration. I especially like the compartment behind the slots to put larger bills, checks , keys etc. and the coin departments, which I use for other things since I don't use coins. I have shopped around, and find that this is one of the best ones I found that meets my needs. I am so happy I got this box, which I use at fairs and expos. I higly recommend it.
