At Last! Sproing-less Circular Needles!
I LOVE THESE NEEDLES! The connecting cord is sproingless! It has no "memory" whatever. It is completely passive and goes whatever direction you bend it. If you've ever had to fight a nylon connected circular needle, you will love these needles for this feature alone. Second, the Red Lace product line has a long taper to the needle tip that is excellent for lace knitting. This long taper makes things like knitting or purling three stitches together or multiple yarn overs much easier. The needles are stainless steel and slick, which some might not like. However, ChiaoGoo makes wooden needles as well. The quality of these needles is excellent. The connecting cord to needle connection is very secure and smooth. I am in the process of changing out all my knitting needles to this brand because of all their good features and excellent product quality. I knit continental style (feed yarn from left hand) and I can get up some speed with these needles.

Stop covering needle size with your barcodes stickers
I keep my needles in the packages but now I can't tell the size because of your impossible to remove stickers! It's the only size label!

Quality off on this one pair, but still a solid performer.
I'm not sure why, but these were slightly rough in the metallic area. Not enough to snag man-made yarn, but they weren't super-duper slick like the other sizes of Chiagoo Red lace needles that I've previously gotten. I probably bought about a half dozen other sizes, between size 3 and size 9, prior to this. I LOVE the long points of the needles, and prefer to use these over bamboo or wood, as they don't break and they jab into any stitch, even a tight cast on. The cable is a smooth, firm, long lasting style. It won't kink up unless you put a serious effort into folding one. The cables don't have memory like other brands. You won't have the cables twisting or springing up on you, if you coil the circs loosely in some container or sleeve. The joins are always smooth as silk. They can click a little if you have that style of knitting with the metal needles, but it's not as loud as with aluminum Boye needles or Kollage squares. I'm not sure why? I'm a loose knitter and do have some stitches slip off the needles when the cat suddenly charges through my personal space from the other side of the house. But I think that the slick metal was a little rough on this one pair. It was more like a bamboo the way it clung to the yarn. I have no idea if that's a defective finish? Overall, I've only had amazing results while using the Chiagoo Red lace circulars. I got rid of all the bamboo and plastic and other branded-metal needles once I'd tried these babies out.The longer point is perfect for the way I work. I love that I don't need to suffer to get a needle tip into stitches to do a M1 or a K2tog. I think even tight knitters could benefit from these. Maybe it'd help their gauge out? I've been more than happy about the cost of the needles, too, v. the quality, and think they're well priced at the $11-15 averages on here. They've been less interesting to my cat, also. He really abused my wooden needles--which means the yarn couldn't slide well past the toothy indentations. These have been removed from my knitting basket and later found in odd places, like forgotten under furniture, or dragged into the kitchen to be batted across the tiles, or quickly carried into the bathtub for a really fun and mildly noisy play time, so I'd recommend keeping them in a cat-proof container. They're mostly cat proof, even if your fluff has deadly sharp teeth. I can't yay!! that aspect enough. The cables are so amazing. They're like coated wire from the hardware store, but the coating isn't spongey like the plastic coating on the hardware cables. So slick and easy to use!

My favorite needles for Magic Loop sock knitting!
I love to knit socks 2 at a time, toes up, using the Magic Loop method. I've tried MANY different types of needles and Chiaogoo needles are what I finally settled on as my absolute favorite. The joins are smooth and haven't caused any problems with my yarns slipping over them smoothly (depending, of course, on how tightly you knit!), but most importantly, these cables have NEVER kinked on me! These are absolutely my needles of choice and I can't imagine ever changing my mind.

Excellent for 2 at a time magic loop socks.
The 40" length is perfect for knitting 2 at a time, magic loop. This was my first ChiaoGoo needle, and I am very happy with the quality. The cables joins are completely smooth and don't catch on my knitting at all. The cables are super flexible and as promised, have no memory to wrestle with. I also love the sharper more tapered points, as compared to some other needles, they are easier to use without accidentally splitting the yarn, and make it easier to slide the needle into a tight stitch.Bottom line, I highly recommend these needles. I plan to buy the ChiaoGoo interchangeables next.

Another great circular knitting needle
I really love the Chiagoo circular needles, and am starting to have a pretty comprehensive set! This is the 40-inch length, which I find to be the handiest length- it's good for Magic Loop, and works even if you are knitting 2 socks, mittens, or sleeves at once (though the 60-inch is a bit better for that). The needles are sharp enough to pick up even tight stitches, but not so sharp that they tend to split the yarn. The cables are firmly attached, and are flexible enough to go in fairly tight bends, while being stiff enough that they don't kink. And they are strong! stainless steel cable covered with a smooth and low-friction plastic. The only disadvantage I've found is mostly with cotton yarns- the needles are a bit slippery for that, particularly when there's only a few stitches on the needle.

Don't Order from This Vendor
These are my favorite knitting needles to use when knitting socks, but the vendor sent a size 4 needle. I had ordered size 2.25mm/US1. I love these needles, but don't order them from this vendor.

ChiaoGoo Red Lace are the BEST needles for me.
Those aren't the Red Lace in the picture, but they are ChiaoGoo and I wanted you guys to read this. I have tried many other brands, and ChiaoGoo do not have a catch where the needle meets the cord. And the Red Lace are so flexible for sock-knitting 2 at a time. Also, the shafts on the Red Lace are a little shorter, also important for making the delicate stitches in lace patterns and for knitting socks.

No memory on cords
Arrived quickly, expensive but worth it as the cords do not twist like others so easier to use. Points are sharp so easy to pick up stitches. Would buy again but watch when ordering you don’t mistake the size as prominent shows in US sizing and I made a mistake with first pair ordered.

Great needles
Nice needles and the cords keep straight and have no memory so don’t twist. I stupidly ordered incorrect size and had to order more. Be careful when ordering and make sure you don’t order the US size as it’s not that clear on the explanation.
