Exactly as described BRIGHT LED
Love how bright and that this did not interfere with my X-10 devices.I do not have a dimmer, so it remains bright where I have it.

Really Bright; Color OK
If you want something really bright, with decently warm color, this should do the trick. I wanted a BR40 in the fixture over my kitchen sink. Although this one is rated 1400 lumens, it was actually brighter than the 1450 lumen LEDVANCE BR30 I had in there temporarily - 20% lux brighter, according to the light meter app in my phone.

Smooth dimming. Bright. Great color!
Bulb dims very smoothly. Zero flicker.Color is spot on 2700k.Full brightness is loads of lumens.I use this in a lamp that over hangs my game table, and it lights it up NICELY when gaming, and dims quite well when we want some ambient light.------------------------So, why 4 stars instead of 5?While it does dim quite smooth, it doesn't dim down as low as I like.I use a SmartThings hub, and have this plugged into a GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Plug Dimmer.I turn the brightness all the way down to 1% with the app (in both Alexa app, and/or SmartThings app - and it is much much brighter than my dimmable Philips bulbs. MUCH brighter. The Philips bulbs will dim down to about the brightness of a candle stick. This bulk dims down to about what my stove light looks like (at 1%).--------Don't get me wrong, it is a great bulb, and for the price, excellent buy.I'd buy it again in a heart beat.5 stars = I LOVE IT! (like my Philips bulbs)4 stars = I like it a lot!

Good Value. Quite bright.
A few years ago I switched a number of incandescent floodlights in my house to flourescent and was never really happy with them. I recently bought 6 of these Bioluz BR40 bulbs to replace some of the fluorescents and am quite pleased with them. They do seem a bit brighter than the "120W equivalent" fluorescents they replaced and are marginally brighter than some similar Feit LED BR40 bulbs. I like how they come on instantly to full brightness, unlike fluorescents. Only time will tell if they last as long as they are advertised to, but even if they last only half as long as expected, I will be happy. The surface barely gets warm so I don't anticipate any problems with overheating. They are a bit heavier than fluorecent or incandescent bulbs, but not alarmingly so. My only complaint is that they are a bit whiter than incandescent bulbs and I would guess the actual color temperature is closer to 3000K than the stated 2700K (but then again so are the Feit bulbs I bought for comparison). I also wish they would give a CRI index to compare with other bulbs (the high the number, the more true-to-life colors appear). Overall, very good. These LED floodlights have now reached the price point where they are worthwhile.

Great in outdoor motion sensor fixtures
The main thing wrong with this lamp is that it's been persistently out of stock. I have not done a side by side comp with a tungsten halogen bulb but the Bioluz color temp and brightness seem very good match for the "120w Equiv" standard flood. The light spread seems more even than any standard PAR flood lamp so there may be a fall-off in distance illumination. The bulb feels very robust and is heavier than a standard thick glass outdoor PAR bulb, but that shouldn't be a problem in most applications. I'm using this bulb and its smaller Br30 "90w Equiv" sibling in an assortment of outdoor motion sensor fixtures and both bulbs work perfectly in that application. My only remaining concern is longevity. Many of my 1st generation LED bulbs died long before their claimed life and it's a question if Bioluz or any of the previously unknown makers of LED bulbs will be around to support their 50,000 hour life claims.June 4, 2017 Update: all of these LED bulbs are still working perfectly.March 7, 2019 Update: all of these LED bulbs are still working perfectly.Jan 20, 2020 Update: all of these LED bulbs are still working perfectly.

Generates radio interference, otherwise good
We’ve had these bulbs in regular daily use for nearly seven years and they’ve done a solid job. They are bright, dimmable, and have experienced no discernible fall off in brightness. However, I’ve just become aware that they are a significant source of electromagnetic interference. I recently moved a traditional FM radio to a location about 7 feet away from this bulb. When the bulb is turned on, the radio loses its signal. Standing between the bulb and the radio restores the signal. Trading this bulb out for another bulb restores the signal, as well.A bulb of this type should NOT be causing radio-frequency interference. This failure indicates poor design or faulty manufacture. If radio interference isn’t a concern, then this bulb is a good choice. Otherwise, you’ll want to make another choice.

Very bright, a bit whitish hew though, still high recommend it!
The package arrived quickly and well packaged. I bought 4 to replace my current traditional BR40 bulbs in the kitchen.Fit snugly in the fixture. The bulbs produce ample amount of light, very bright, I would imagine it meets the claimed lumen rating.Like previous posters said, comparing this light bulb with the traditional 120W ones, instead of producing golden warm yellowish color, it has a whitish hew within. Not bothering me though, the only suggestion I have for potential buyers, it is almost absolutely a must to get a dimmer along with this light. The bulbs are so bright that it may be uncomfortable to stare at them directly.Overall I'm still very happy with my purchase, I used a heat gun to test out the temperature, the old 120W bulb is at whooping 200 degree F, whereas the Bioluz LED bulb is only at room temperature (75 degree F right now), talking about wasted heat! I can't speak for the longevity at the moment since I just received the bulbs. They may be a bit costly as the initial investment, but I'm sure it will all worth it in the long run.
