Impressive!!! Over 58 pages, 30+ pages full of impressively detailed drawings. Simplifying numerous types of structures, construction types, cladding and finishes of shelters from all over the world. With a wider variety, than most survival books have. That has opened my eyes, to the possibilities! A great gift, for the fort builders, and survivalists in your life.

Arrived in new cond. and worthy of my collection. Never used it to build any of the shelters so can't comment on the plans, yet.

Headline says it all... great product, a very unique, detailed book, just one in a series of many.

While this book provides a good overview of various types of shelters, it is lacking in many ways. Because each shelter type is only given a page or two (and because each page is so small) significant external research would be required to even begin to construct any of these. That being said, it does provide info on many shelter types of which I was entirely unaware.

This is an excellent overview of simple structural systems, both old and new. I found some examples that I had not seen before anywhere else. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in architecture. The drawings are very clear, perhaps better than photos, and never failed to convey exactly what the structure being discussed was about. I really enjoyed it!

A simple book on simple shelters. Nice drawings to complement the text and nice to learn about some shelters beyond a tipi and a tent.

This book is perfect for entry step to study simple shelters. As its title, it contains descriptions and graphic sketch about the shelters. The description is in general, not specific and detail but it covers (maybe) all shelters all over the world. It does not contains a lot of details but you can get go further to find the information from other sources.

We adore just about all of the wooden book titles, but this one is really delightful. We're all inspired to go out and build shelters now! Good for even curious youngsters--great illustrations. You can learn how to build a snowfort the entire family will enjoy building together. Aww, just get it--you'll love it, too.
