I think it’s a great tumbler but is lacking in some areas
The media could not be loaded. Few things that bugged me about it. Doesn’t have an on and off switch and wish it came with adjustable feet to make level. I did have to tighten the “lock rings” on the shafts to be a little more steady. Just used a socket and gently hit it with a hammer. Didn’t come with lube so I did lube it when I got it. Used air tool oil. I wish the lid come with a knob but isn’t hard to put on/off. The o-ring can be a pain. Make sure to put the o-rings/lids touching when on the tumbler because I noticed it rubbed some rubber off on the barrel because of the plastic white wheel, it’s thinner on the o-ring side. Also wish they rounded the edges of the white plastic wheel to reduce rubber wear. Haven’t noticed much after I put the lids together when tumbling. The rubber does have to “be tailored” to the machine.

Excellent
This is the only brand my family runs for rock tumblers now! Excellent product.

Poor construction
I had a tumbler just like this one for several years, so I thought I was safe ordering it again. It is poorly constructed, it isn’t straight, so it doesn’t turn well. I took it to a mechanical engineer and he worked on it so that it at least runs. The 2 drums rub against each other creating a black mess. What a huge disappointment!

Great purchase
I read reviews on this and was on the fence whether to buy it or not. It's great! So glad I purchased. It's not as loud as some reviews said but I have mine sitting on a rug. Don't know if that made a difference or not. It did start squeaking one day but I put a tiny bit of grease on the metal part of the rollers and it fixed it. I love this and would recommend to anyone!

we realized that the hardness factors were too different in the mix resulting in a lot of wasted time and material - they wouldn
We are still waiting for our first batch of polished rocks. We made the mistake of putting all the rocks that came with the tumbler in one batch. After weeks of moving through the various grits, we realized that the hardness factors were too different in the mix resulting in a lot of wasted time and material - they wouldn't take a polish. We subsequently ordered different rocks online so we could make batches of all the same type rock. We should know in another two weeks if this was the right decision, which I believe it was. You also need to check the machine often. Our barrels jumped off the roller and we didn't realize it for two days. We have rubber tailings all over the place, and one of the barrels wore down considerably on one side. I will chalk this up to our fault as it should be checked daily. I would consider moving this up to 4 stars if the two batches we have going now come out polished...The other weirdness is that the machine does not have an on-off switch. You have to plug and unplug it from the outlet to control power. Seems like a strange way to cut corners.

AN AWESOME ROCK TUMBLER
This has been running nonstop for three weeks, I check the stones every week and reload the 60/90 grit. Not very loud and is working very well.
