STARRY-EYED REVIEWER GOES GA-GA OVER VAN GOGH!
Van Gogh had his own way with the world inside his mind. He made the sky sunny and starry at the same time. He made the unbelievable believable. He made the impossible possible. Why not! No reason not to."Starry Night" completes the star theme of my midnight dream room as it joins: (1) a nativity scene illuminated by a big, bright, beautiful star of Bethlehem; (2) a replica of General George Washington's headquarters flag boasting thirteen bright-white hand-size stars arrayed simply and symmetrically on a deep blue background; and (3) a tapestry showing a winter cabin (comfy 'n' cozy), snuggling in the warmth, while surrounded by huge snowflakes and gigantic stars. All of that – (1), (2), and (3) – filled three of the four walls of my midnight dream room. Sad to say, however, a fourth wall (4) remained bare. Within view of those three walls that had plenty of stars, that poor fourth wall had none. It just stood there in the dark: naked, hungry, cold, and alone.Fear not, my fellow Amazonians! "Starry Night" came to the rescue. It gave that empty, yearning fourth wall something to cheer about. And it makes me feel like singing "Starry Starry Night..."I like showing my Van Gogh. And I like showing off! How so?By singing just the right song in just the right way -- soft, slow, and a little off key, at times, just to re-assure you that your host for the nonce is imperfect, and, thus, perfectly human, as are you.I wish I could tell you that I have been rehearsing night and day. But that would not be true. The truth is that I sing just like I do just about everything else in my life: silently, in my mind.On occasion, however, there is an occasion, such as this one, when I cannot help but break out in song! Barely audible, and, thus, all the more beautiful, in the stillness of the night. As I write this, the sky is not dark and starry. It is sunny and bright. Never mind. Never mind. Just leave my mind alone & let it sing its own song.My mind -- which has always been the magnet and driving force of my life -- has taken a leave of absence, scampered away, and left me in the dust -- so that it might go its own way, dream its own dreams, sing it own songs . . .Meanwhile, back at the review, left to my own devices, I sing of otherworldly worlds -- otherworldly stars -- dreamed up long ago & painted by van Gogh.Astra virumque cano.

My favorite poster
This is one of my all time favorite works of art. Having this on a poster is a necessity for me! This poster is awesome quality! It comes packaged nice and securely. The price was awesome, also. This looks so great on my white walls in my bedroom, I just couldn't be happier!

A well-received, gorgeous gift
My dad has been asking for a Starry Night print for his apartment. We were both extremely pleased with this purchase, both for the beautiful addition to his wall, and for the affordable price!

Love it. My favorite.
Always has been a favorite of mine, and now it hangs big as life in my living room. The problem of muted colors, particularly white, that other reviewers have mentioned has a simple cause - this is a poster not a reproduction. The poster is rendering Van Gogh's painting, in which he piles on paint so thick it can almost be considered a 3d work, as a 2d poster. Some of that shadow, rendered 2d, mutes the bright white stars into a more gray representation. OK. If you want a reproduction, buy one. This is a poster, and a nice one.

Confusion
I ordered this poster from the seller and got a completely different poster entirely. They sent me a map of the United States instead. I did however contact the seller and they were kind enough to send me the poster that I paid for and let me keep the unwanted poster. The actual poster Starry Night is okay quality, a lot less brighter than I assumed by the picture. But still looks nice

Higher Contrast but Same Image
The poster is nice, but the contrast of the image is slightly too high. Because of this, the dark colors are darker and some bright yellows are white instead (giving it a desaturated look). I am happy that the image wasn't cropped like it was for some customers. I still enjoy the poster, but the high contrast problem is something to consider when buying. Mostly good poster.

I violently hated this the first time I saw it in art ...
I violently hated this the first time I saw it in art class. Thought I could do better. Many years later, no way could it be recreated by me. I have come to violently love it in all its vibrancy. The recreation poster is awesome. So much energy. Art teacher said one time it is not necessary to understand art just to have a strong feeling after you have seen it. I am getting lots of compliments on my "art collection"

Cropped poster.
The print quality is not great, but the main problem is they cropped two inches off the top to fit it into poster format. For the price it's not bad,but can only garner three stars.

Order this poster from someone else
Don't order this. I ordered it thinking it would look like this picture instead the colours are all bright toned and not dark and part of the picture is cropped out which I'm not impressed with either. Close to the line of false advertisement "poster revolution." Didn't expect Van Gogh to paint it himself or anything but my poster doesn't look like this.
