Holes lined up, had to file a bit at the neck joint, but that may be a difference between Fender and ESP necks, not sure. I did drill some holes to get the trem cover to fit perfectly, but again, it may be perfect on a Fender or Squier, I can't say. The screw holes for the pickups and the selector switch are not tapered which was strange because the rest of the holes were. So I tapers them so the screws would sit nicely. Secondly, there are 7/32 holes next to the tone and volume knobs that hold the units in place from spinning while tightening the nuts. The new pick guard did not have these so I had to use my oem guard as a template and drill the holes. Not that big of a deal. The back plate for perfectly as well as the mounting screws holes for the guard. Some appeared to be off a time but, not enough to cover the screw holes on the body.
