10 Plants - Albion Ever Bearing Strawberry Plants - Certified Healthy Bare Root Plants
Product Care Instructions | Strawberry Plant Basics Soil: Ideal soil pH is 5.5-6.5. Strawberry plants need well-draining soil. Choose a good quality potting mix that has perlite mixed in. You will then want to add in about 1/3 compost to mix in with your potting soil. This will create a well-draining, nutrient filled soil that your strawberries will love! We recommend to always check your soil's pH. Environment: If your area's daily temp is in the 80s or above you will want to start them in a place that is not in direct sun, such as indoors with a grow light or outdoors on a covered porch. If you are able to start them outdoors right away in the spring then you may place them in your gardening bed or pots, just make sure you mulch them so they may retain moisture when watered., Water: If you are starting them indoors or outside in shade, you may only need to water about twice a week. Once they are outside in full sun, then you will need to adjust your watering to accomadate the direct sun that will cause their soil to dry out at a faster rate. Transplanting Outdoors: Once the plant has grown a few new stems, you may transplant them outside. Usually this will be about two weeks after planting. For the first two days you will want to place them in a shaded area outdoors. These first two days will allow the plant to acclimate to the humidity and temperature of their environment first. And then each day after that you may begin to move them into a little sun and little more each day after that until they are in their permanent home. Be sure to mulch them before starting the transplanting process so their soil may retain the moisture when you water them. |

Plants took off right away
I did receive 10 plants as advertised. Eight of them took off right away with new growth. Two did not, but I don't necessarily think that had anything to do with the quality of plants that were sent. I suspect that those two had difficulties with my handling when trying to separate the plants and get them into pots, also because, in general, it takes longer for most things to get to me. They haven't been planted long enough to produce fruit yet so I can't comment on the flavor, but I have great hopes and look forward to harvest time!

Healthy plants!
These strawberry plants were by far the healthiest plants I have ever ordered online. I wasn’t sure if one of the plants was going to survive but as soon as I planted it, it perked right up. They are all now very healthy. It’s too soon to rate the fruit of these plants, but I’m looking forward to eating my first strawberry from this batch!

Growing!
Growing! The roots arrived moist and most of them had white growings. The picture is taken after 10 days from planting. All roots with growings have several leaves. Waiting for the rest to grow. Recommended!

Full Blown Spider Mite Infestation
I bought these to use in a hydroponic setup in a small grow tent. They grew great for a couple months, but now they are dying from a full blown spider mite infestation. The plants have been in isolation in the tent, and none of my other household plants have spider mites, so my only assumption is that the mites road in on these plants.

Veteran owned, super healthy plants.
USPS lost the package for about a week, but still receive super healthy plants.Trimmed off most of the roots and put them in my hydroponic setup. In less that 24 hours all 10 plants revived and are putting out new growth. Will be buying from Hand Picked Nursery going forward, it’s also veteran owned so win win win.Photo provided is probably 20 hours after transplanting.

Crowns need to be above soil surface for plant to thrive
I got 12. 2 were emanciated. Planted them all according to text instructions from the seller.Few weeks later; 6 had thrived and grown leaves... the rest had not. I Did search for them in the potted soil. Couldnt find them;. The seller told me they would have decayed. He offered to send me 4 bare roots for 4:95$, but since I had sent him a picture of the anemic looking crowns at receipt ; I refused the offer.I am happy with the 6. Want to put them in soil. Unable to get a satisfactory answer from seller about whether pot better or ground : except mulch well.

No packing list
I received 6 separate orders the same day that had bare root plants and some bulbs. Not one of those packages had a packing list so I could tell them apart. I think I know which one are the strawberries I ordered, but I’m just not sure. They are healthy looking and quite large. Just provide a packing list or label or something!
