The "time" of my life!!!
Great seller! I subsequently saw the same product on another seller's site for $50 more!!! Wow! Links are hard to remove for proper sizing...had to take it to a jeweler to do the job but luckily he didn't charge me...so it was a reasonable buy all around! Keeps great time... and the days are given in English and Arabic so I'm really impressed!!!

Update! This is a fantastic buy! It looks better in person and appears ...
I have now owned this watch for quite some time and wanted to give buyers a tip. The watch is great but ran a bit fast and finally stopped working after 3 years. I was disappointed until I faced the reality that all automatic watches need service at some point. I found a watchmaker/technician who said no problem and cleaned, lubricated and bench marked the time. Now it runs spot on! The review below still holds for me as true. This is a fantastic buy! It looks better in person and appears much more expensive than in the image. So far accurate time as well but the best part for me is that I wanted a self winding automatic watch that had decent staying power off my wrist and most of all was not bulky or heavy and would look good and be comfortable on my smallish wrist. A "home run" on each issue!! I noticed the price has gone up to 75 dollars. At that price it's still a bargain. I had two links on the bracelet removed for a perfect fit. I saw some complaints about the bracelet but I have a hard time understanding what they are talking about, it looks good and is comfortable.

Great Watch
This is a very beautiful watch! My last Seiko quit working a couple of months ago and about 19 years. It is the perfect size for a man with a smaller wrist and arm's. No more replacing batteries. It's a self-winding watch just move your arm around a lot our take the watch and move it side to side to help it stay wind-up.

A watch with soul for an unbeatable price!
When I was shopping for a replacement for my Citizen, a buddy of mine pointed me in the direction of these Seiko 5's, telling me that automatic watches have "soul." I'm a classic-car guy, so I understood that "soul" in this context means that they're analog in the classic sense; they are imperfect, complex assemblages of mechanical parts that somehow transcend the basic functionality of the device, which, ironically, they can't perform quite as well as a modern digital version. Instead of a battery, this (and all automatic watches) has a spring that's wound by a weight that swings around as your arm moves, which you can see in action through the sweet clear back. Well, I can't resist a bit of soul on my wrist, and it didn't hurt that this was 1/4 the price of the ecodrive Citizen I was considering, so I figured what the heck - I'd give old-fashioned a try (works for shaving too, but don't let me get sidetracked down that path...). I've owned the watch for about two months now, and I'm really, really happy with it. The face looks great - aesthetics are personal preference (and there are a million versions of the "5" to match yours), but I love the dash of color on a classic blue face with the stainless strap. It's lighter than my Citizen, which some folks complain about (the band does feel a little chintzy), but makes it more comfortable for me. My big worry when I got it was that I wouldn't move enough to keep it "charged" while working my desk job and taking it off in the evenings. To quote my favorite movie of the summer, "no...problem...at...all!" That said, understand that if you don't wear it for a day or two you'll have to give it a good shake and re-set it, or invest in a winder that costs more than the dang watch (the 5's don't have a winding post like some fancier automatics). Downsides...well, it's true, it doesn't keep absolutely perfect time. Lots of folks do fancy calibration I don't have time for, because frankly my life isn't interesting enough to need to be places on time to-the-second. I find it loses a minute every week or so compared to my smartphone, which takes all of 5 seconds to correct. And, let's face it, we all have phones that are way more accurate than watches anyway. So that's that. My only serious complaint is that that shiny metal bezel and the strap are extremely easy to scratch. I take good care of my stuff, but after two months I already have several scratches on each from minor wall-bumps and the like. Kind of frustrating for a watch that needs to be worn constantly to keep time, if you ask me. I guess folks would say it's patina but I'm too retentive for that. Overall, this watch is a heck of a bargain, but only if you know what you're getting into. For much less (or much more) money you can have a watch that may be more your style and certainly tells better time. If you're like me, you'll happily trade that for a little bit more "soul" in your life (and the ability to never buy a battery again). Just...maybe also look at models with a little less shiny if you don't like scratches.

Very nice.
Nice look. Auto movement. Smooth second hand. Nice silvertone band. Visible action on the back is impressive.

Very nice for the price
Very nice I bought the watch for someone as a gift the person love every feature of it but the watch bracelet was large then I later found out it was easy to manage to make it smaller and it was done fast. It made me want to purchase one like this for my self very soon.

Great Value!
The color scheme is high contrast, so easy to see in low light. Watch itself has a nice heft to it. It feels quite substantial on your wrist. Band is pressed metal and is hollow, so pretty light. Down the line I may replace the band with a similar solid-metal band. Says that you have something like a day and a half worth of power when it's not on your wrist. I'd say closer to one solid day. If you leave it sitting too much past that, you'll be re-setting the time and possibly the date. Considering the cost, I think the watch is a good value overall. I put a clear plastic cover over the glass right out of the package. It's cheap insurance to keep the face from getting scratched. Can always remove the plastic cover and apply a new one if needed. I don't have an idea about the water resistance. Haven't yet had the situation where it got accidentally soaked. Looks "nice casual" vs some of my other watches that I wear for bumping around.

Great inexpensive automatic
This is a nice inexpensive Seiko 5. Watch seems of good quality, band works and looks ok but seems a little cheap feeling when off. See through back is a nice feature. Mine keeps good time for an automatic and the lumes get me through the night ( Not fabulous but adequate). I wear it all the time, showering, washing up, etc and no problems. Have not gone swimming with it on but can't imagine a problem.
