Imuraya Japanese Style Pre-Sliced Baked Sponge Pound Cake 9.8oz, 7 Pieces (Matcha)

I bought this on a whim, thinking it would be stale. To my surprise the cake was infact moist. It's delicious and I'll probably be purchasing more, since my kids ate most of it.

This cake was moldy when I opened it. I stored it in a cool place and it’s expiration date was not for another 3 months. I also bought the chocolate one, which I opened the day it arrived, but it was nothing special. Bland and little chocolate flavor. Waste of a purchase.

I love traditional castella, and was excited to try chocolate! However when these cakes arrived, while they WERE fresh (and smelled DIVINE), they were a bit on the dry and crumbly side. Nothing a glass of milk couldn't help, however.Still, I think I'd give it another go cause the flavor and aroma was just so amazing!

The product is great, fresh, and delicious.

Nothing you couldn't get at your local grocer. Not worth the order.

Outside seems fluffy and moist but when you take a bite, it's very very dry and cakey. Not really what I hoped for.

I saw this kind of cake being made on You Tube and it looked so good, and it is delicious.

This brought my childhood memories. This is one of my favorite snack when I was a kid. Yes, it is sponge cake, but you don't find it here in the United States. It's so moist and sweet, but it's delicate sweetness; it's not overpowering. A glass of cold milk goes with it!!! I know it's a bit pricy, but I think it's worse it. I will order again!
