Landscapes: Trace line art onto paper or canvas, and color or paint your own masterpieces (Trace & Color)

This book was fun for the person who loves to paint or use colored pencils but just can't seem to draw well. I used acrylic paints and it came out very nice

If you expect instructions on how to paint any of these pictures, you will be very disappointed. The first chapter has a little overview on several different types of paint media.What this book, and all the Trace & Color line of books don't tell you is that there are matching books in one media with step-by-step instructions. I wouldn't have known, except I recognize the pictures, because I had already purchased the matching book. Once I found this out I went on-line to see if this was the case with the other Trace&Color books. And it was, all of them had matching books. The matching book to this one, is called Landscapes: In Colored Pencil, by Eileen Sorg. The matching book has all the step-by-step painting instructions, for all the projects in this book, and it has more projects, plus other useful information.This book has 6 paintings, the paintings are one whole page, and on the facing page is the template, or pattern, and the name of the paints that the artist used, and beside each color there is a color swatch, so you can see the exact shade of color, that the artist used. The book also includes, 4 sheets of graphite paper. I guess this book is helpful if you can't draw, and you need or want the templates for some reason. Also, just know that this book is not for beginners, or anyone who needs instructions, there are no instructions on painting the pictures.

Very nice books for those of us who are beginning painters who need some help with finding compositions to paint. Great pictures.
