This made a young man's day! In an effort to try to replace a book that meant a lot to a high schooler, I was happy to see that Amazon had it at a fair price. This is exactly what he was looking for. Gem of music.

Nice pieces. Really depends on your skill level, whether this is right for you. When played well, the pieces sound good and are rewarding. I don't know that they are masterpieces, but that's just my opinion.

Great book of nice trombone solos. My daughter has used if for Solo and Ensemble competition and for auditions to the local youth symphony.

I don’t think I received a complete book. I received the piano accompaniment book with the trombone part above in cues like as usual for solos with piano accompaniment. If there us a separate trombone solo book I did not receive that. This is not very useful.

This book has progressive solos for beginning students. It has nice musical taste with modulations and style changes that make the solos very enjoyable to play for a beginner and interesting to listen to for the audience.
