The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga for Nintendo Wii is the most comprehensive KOF collection to date, featuring five complete games, including the iconic Orochi Saga trilogy from 1995 to 1997, along with unlockable bonus content, marking the franchise's debut on the Wii platform.

Classic fighting games!
I've been having a blast playing and mastering these games. At 1st I played 98 more because it's the most updated one but i've since moved on to others and appreciate ea. one for what it brings.94 being my least played. 95 improved a lot and they just kept improving from there on but ea. game has it's own flavor.Only annoying thing is that while learning some moves it can be confusing going from game to game. They tend to change the input commands for the same move or take off or reconfigure some special moves. Also the early games had some real dumb things like a Special Kick attack done with the punch button or Special Punch attack done with the kick button.I've been playing with the T vs. C stick and it plays beautiful. Classic controller works great too and the buttons are all customizable for ea. game.High recommended.

Great Retro Fun
I love retro games. These are the games I grew up with as a kid. Now even as an adult, it's still fun to go back and play these games and relive memories. In this day of 3D fighters and SSF4, the King of Fighter series from the 90's still retains its charm and playability. This disc has five KoF games for a bargain rate (especially for those of us who remember what these cost individually in the 90's). All five games are faithful to the Neo Geo & arcade versions. For younger gamers who are unfamiliar with the KoF series but are interested in building their fighting games collections, I would recommend starting with KoF '98. Not only is it visually superior than the others and has more special moves and characters, but the gameplay is the smoothest and most enjoyable out of the series on the disc. The game is compatible with Wiimote, Classic controller, and GC controller. I recommend using a PS2 controller thru the PS2->Wii/GC adapter.

A must have for the Wii / Wii U fighting game enthusiast.
Now here is a game that everyone should try, regardless whether you're a casual or hardcore fighting game fan. While the emulation isn't perfect ( we'll get into that later ) , the loading times & gameplay are silky smooth. Let's get to the not so perfect part of the collection:โ The scrolling wall with the flashing neon sign reading : Pao Pao Cafe has been removed from the Mexico stage in The King of Fighters '94โThe flashing red screen that is present in '96 - '98 has been removed. Due to this removal, the screen turns black and white; leaving your character looking like a shadow image.Other than what I listed above, the game is definitely a must have in your Wii / Wii U collection.

Graphics are Horrible - I'm Surprised at Nintendo
I know this is a classic game but I can't look at it after playing it once. The preview pictures online and on the back of the case look better than they really do on a Flat Screen TV. I'm shocked Nintendo allowed such crappy graphics to be released on a high end graphics capable system, they should of taken the concept and re-make the game not just copy it over. It should of been re-done with better graphics quality. maybe if you play it on a 12"x12" screen like at the arcade the graphics will look better. On a 42" flat screen it's horrible.I have the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Ultimate All Stars; WAYYY BETTER!! The graphics and sound and controls are awesome! Even Guity Gear is a better fighting game with better graphics. Don't bother with this King of Fighters unless you like to play Donkey Kong Atari looking characters battling.

Great collection for fighting game fans Although missing some key features
This is a great game combining the first 5 King of Fighters(KOF) games together in one neat package. This contains KOF '94, '95 '96, '97, and '98 in one package as well as a Challenge mode with various challenges arranged by difficulty which on completion award extras such as artwork and soundtracks from the various games. The game play is great and I've experienced no slowdown in any of my games. If you are new to the series I recommend that you start with the later games like '97 or '98 because even in the lowest settings in KOF '94 I had a tough time and I'm no stranger to Fighters. I recommend either AN ARCADE FIGHTSTICK or a CLASSIC CONTROLLER for this game because I can't imagine anyone enjoying this with the Wii remote setup. This game collection is ALMOST perfect but some questionable choices were made. You are able to play 2 players in ALL of these by having the second player press start while you're in arcade mode, but there is no VS mode to go right in and fight with friends which is inconvenient. Also there is no time adjustment meaning that you CAN NOT have infinite time on your matches. My last gripe is that in Training Mode there is no command display which is irritating when you want to see why you can't get a special move or combo to work.All-in-all, this is a good collection that celebrates the great history of the KOF series and if focused more at the ARCADE experience that console so if you want things like time attack or survival mode then I'd look for other ports of these games.
