Review: Great Stools At A Great Price! - We purchased 4 of these great stools on desertcart Prime Day for the great price of $77 each (dark gray, 24-inch seat height). All 4 stools arrived in 2 days, well packed, and in perfect condition. These stools are made of solid wood and metal construction with a thick plastic like distressed barnwood coating/stain over all of the wood parts. The dark gray seats are covered in a smooth, thick cloth. All of the assembly bolts are high quality, and all of the bolt holes line up perfectly. All 4 legs are nearly the same length (within a couple of millimeters), and the stool does not wobble if the legs are adjusted properly during assembly. Assembly is easy, even with just one person doing it. I had all 4 stools built in a little over an hour and a half (including unpacking them). All 17 of the assembly bolts are blister packed and labeled, along with a 4mm, 5/32" Allen Wrench. I did not use the Allen Wrench, and used a 4mm Allen socket and a 3/8" ratchet instead, in order to speed up the assembly process. When attaching the legs, be sure not to over-tighten the bolts, as this will definitely warp and/or crack the leg support blocks. There should still be a slight gap between the leg and support block when properly assembled. Also, make sure to keep ALL of the leg bolts loose until final assembly, or the metal foot ring will "seem" to be too large of a circumference for the 4 legs. Once everything is assembled, then go back and tighten all of the leg bolts. The back rest requires a large Phillips screwdriver to install the 5 attaching bolts. Also, make sure to check the tightness of the 5 pre-installed bolts on the rear top of the back rest, as I found a few of them to be slightly loose. Once assembled, the stools are all great looking, wobble-free, and they swivel smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend these stools. They look great, and seem very sturdy and durable, but only time will tell on the overall durability aspects. If anyone is looking for some great bar or counter height stools, then look no further than these excellent stools.

Don't let that stop you from tightening them completely as per instructions. During assembly, I was greatly impressed by the fabulous engineering of this stool. It's design is well thought out regarding strength and reliability, and once assembled is built to last. It was a pleasure to assemble such quality. I was happy to find this stool, but now that I have it - four of them - I am VERY happy. Another thing I'd like to mention is in regard to the assembly hardware that comes with it. The bolts are of a high quality metal, and unlike some other hardware I've received with other - to be assembled - items, these hex-head bolts don't "strip out" when applying the final tightening torque with the provided Allen wrench, or with the homeowner-provided Phillips head screw driver bolts. The quality of the hardware was the icing on the cake regarding my impression of the overall quality of the stool. A word of advice; be deliberate while using the Allen wrench because the hex-head bolts are harder than the wrench and if you're sloppy, you can start to round off the hex edges of the wrench. This probably won't happen if you pay attention, but if it did, you can always go and buy another one for almost nothing. This is not a criticism of the wrench, they will all round off if not used squarely and deliberately under heavy stress. If this stool looks like what you've been looking for, but are concerned about the quality, my experience suggests that you shouldn't be be. My recommendation is to go ahead and buy it!

We purchased 4 of these great stools on Amazon Prime Day for the great price of $77 each (dark gray, 24-inch seat height). All 4 stools arrived in 2 days, well packed, and in perfect condition. These stools are made of solid wood and metal construction with a thick plastic like distressed barnwood coating/stain over all of the wood parts. The dark gray seats are covered in a smooth, thick cloth. All of the assembly bolts are high quality, and all of the bolt holes line up perfectly. All 4 legs are nearly the same length (within a couple of millimeters), and the stool does not wobble if the legs are adjusted properly during assembly. Assembly is easy, even with just one person doing it. I had all 4 stools built in a little over an hour and a half (including unpacking them).
