I have four bi-fold closet doors. The original ones were installed 40+ years ago. I recently had to remove the bi-fold doors for wall and floor repairs. Before reinstalling, I needed to replace all the bi-fold door hardware sets. I thought all the hardware sets would be a “universal” fit so I didn't measure when ordering. I discovered that they are “universal” EXCEPT for the nylon top guide wheel which are almost 1-inch in diameter. That size is way too BIG and the plastic guide wheel is not removable. I thought I was going to have to replace the entire top guide rail, but luckily I found the Prime-Line N 7302 Bi-Fold Door Top Guide Wheel, 5/8 inch Wheel. This is the top guide wheel size that fits my 40+ year old bi-fold doors. I guess newer bi-fold doors have thicker, wider, and more durable top guide wheels. I guess I’m lucky that they still manufacture and sell the smaller diameter top guide wheel but I think they will soon be “dinosaurs”, i.e., extinct or no longer manufactured because of low consumer demand.

Seems well made for intended purpose. Used to replace 25+ year old noisy and sticky originals. Easy to install and makes doors much quieter and smoother to open and close.

Works if you need this tool

The media could not be loaded.  In connection with a recent remodel I had to trim the height of our bedroom closet bifold doors, and in the process I replaced all of the hardware on the doors. But the top guide for one of the doors wasn't optimal (too much metal on metal in the track) so I ordered these.They do work (as the video will show) and I'd say that they reduced the metal on metal contact by about 50% for me. So just for that the purchase was justified. I still get a little of the metal to metal sound, but at least it's less than it was. I'd much rather hear soft plastic gliding against the metal track than hear metal scraping along the track...

Our house is 25 years old so things are starting to wear out. The guide wheels on a couple of our closet doors have broke and so I had to replace them and these did the trick. The holes in the door were worn so I had to fill them and redrill the holes to set these pins but the doors seem better now than when they were new.

I put a bifold doors on the closet. I had trouble keeping it on track and operating smoothly.I saw these on line and realized that they were much better than what I received with the door. They were easy to install and now the door works great!!I highly recommend these to anyone installing bifold doors. They will bring the door to the next level.

The guide pegs they give you when you purchase the doors are cheesy and come apart and fall out.These replacements are awesome. The spring tension makes them a snap to install as you don't have to loosen the bottom of the door to fit them in. Just compress and they are in the groove.
