Anders Zorn, 101 Etchings (Dover Fine Art, History of Art)

This is a functional archive of the work of an amazing artist, however, there is a serious level of subtlety that demonstrates his drawing mastery that is completely lost in these cheaply printed pages. It's reasonable to expect something to be lost in a book compared to the originals, but in this cheap book, all marks are either black or white, nothing in between - which prevents you from really seeing the images for what they actually are. Details are hazy. Cheap and disappointing.

Expected better quality than this.

I ordered this book and but, had to return it back because of its BAD PRINTING QUALITY and pages.The etchings printed in the book are smudgy, dark and lines are not clear or sharp enough, Killing the beauty of the great master's beautiful masterpieces. Neither good for reference or collection.Definitely NOT worth its price. Total disappointment. :(

この画家の引く鋭い線描は、対象の持つフォルム　明暗　質感を的確に捉えている。眼の良さ、観察力　美しいと思った一瞬に的確に対象の持つ質量を表現出来る能力に優れているのだろう。エッチングで、98点掲載してある。見応えのある作品集だ。
