This is so much more than just a sledgehammer.The special shape of the two-sided head, and the impact absorption of the shaft mean that it destroys concrete like no sledgehammer I ever used before.The "bullet" side cracks concrete like an axe splitting wood, and the "round dome" side puts big lateral shockwaves into concrete, splitting big "plates" off the surface and loosening the bond between the concrete and the rebar.I had a small demolition job that needed to be completed under time pressure in one evening -- breaking and removing a 3m x 2m x 20cm reinforced concrete floor slab, between an old central heating boiler being taken out and a new one being put in the next day. I planned a long and hard night, and it was all over in 30 mins with this hammer.If you're less youthful, (like me at 50), and have the budget and space, buy both the XL and L hammers. because they perform very differently, depending on how fast you can swing them, and how much space you have.Nice to use such great tools.

This thing is epic. Yes it is double the price of your average sledgehammer. BUT it’s worth every penny. This thing goes through concrete like it’s made of glass. The flat head creates plates and the maul splits the plates with ease a perfect combination. Don’t hesitate to buy this excellent tool.

Top class if anything like the smaller hammer of same design. Only get what you pay for. Work smart not hard these will go easier on the limbs when striking into walls.
