Franz Schubert: 15 Selected Songs Book/Online Audio (The Vocal Library)

Rather pricey for only 15 songs. The wonderful and useful CDs make this book worth the price for voice students. Great literature!

Title says "With 2 CDs" but when I received the book it merely said "Audio Access Included" on the cover - the tracks are no longer offered on CD but have to be downloaded from the Hal Leonard, using a code printed in the front of each book. The code is unique to that individual copy. Unfortunately the Hal Leonard website does not recognise the code, even though I have tried typing it many times. Either the downloadable music no longer functions, or Amazon have supplied me a returned copy from which someone else has already used the code. Either way, this purchase gets 1 star, as I bought it to have the backing tracks and diction lessons for practice purposes. As regards the collection of songs, it's an excellent book, but there is no point in paying extra for audio tracks which are not accessible!

After reading a previous review about the CDs not being included i was worried that i would not be able to access them but purchased anyway as my mother would appreciate it even with the audio. The access code in the book did work and i was able to download all the audio, which made this purchase attractive, and have put them on to CD. Great for learning the German in the songs and to have the piano to accompany it.

They have replaced the CDs with online audio which makes it an inconvenient pain in the neck. I purchased this initially for the CDs and they had wrongly advertised it as having a CD included. I was very displeased but have no choice as the CD was discontinued.
